MVAMS error for MD530
When I open MVAMS and try to select the MD530, I get an error. (See attached jpg)
- MVAMS works for my DHC-2 and F-86F.
- After getting the error, I updated my MD530 to vA1.190723, but still get the same error.
- P3Dv4.5.13.32097 (no other versions of P3D installed.)
- MVAMS Properties_Compatibility_Settings is set to "Run this program as an administrator."
Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Your MD-530 is installed in v4? Do you have any other simulators?

- Yes, my MD-530 is installed in P3Dv4.JonathanBleeker wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 5:42 pmYour MD-530 is installed in v4? Do you have any other simulators?
- No, I do not have another version of P3D or FSX installed on my PC.
I used to have P3Dv3 installed on my PC, but I uninstalled it last year and only use v4 now.
I do have licenses for P3Dv3, FSX, & FSX SE, but again, do not have those programs installed on my PC.
(I do have X-Plane, AFS2, DCS, IL-2, and RoF installed. Obviously the MD-530 isn't installed in any of those.)

Could you check that there are no rogue folders left behind from your v3 installation?

I don't see any.JonathanBleeker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 6:51 amCould you check that there are no rogue folders left behind from your v3 installation?
It had been installed on my SSD. There is only my Lockheed Martin/Prepar3D v4 folder now.
I can't find any Prepar3D v3 folders anywhere else.
Are there any specific places you'd like me to look?
Again, MVAMS works properly when I select the DHC-2 or F-86. Only the MD530 gives the error.

Re: MVAMS error for MD530
Right click on your MVAMS and open file location. Go to the modules folder and unzip this into it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/unruo5gxhq0np ... 0.zip?dl=0
Then right click on the MD530.dll and select Properties->Unblock and let me know if that solves it.

That didn't fix it. I still get an error, though there is another line added to it.
I did notice that under the MD530.dll Properties - Details tab, that the File description is listed as "F-4E AMS Module" and the Product Name is "McDonnell Douglas F-4E". Not sure if that matters.

Just FYI, I re-ran the MD530F installer and selected the uninstall option for P3Dv4.
I then ran the uninstall for P3Dv3 as well. (Even though P3Dv3 was not installed on my PC.)
I then ran the installer for the MD530F. It installed the helicopter again and now MVAMS works!
Problem solved.

Re: MVAMS error for MD530
Hi Everybody,
please let me pick up this old thread for my very same problem:
MVAMS doesn't work with my MD530F installation. Everything else (Beaver/UH-1) works normal.
Anything I can try? Already uninstalled/repaired/reinstalled MD530F/MVAMS...
Thanky you for your help in advance!
Cheers Martin

Re: MVAMS error for MD530
Hi Martin.
I don't know what else to try. Running the uninstaller for both P3D v3 and v4 and then reinstalling for just v4 finally fixed the problem for me.
Since I reported my issue fixed, I'm not sure how Milviz monitors new posts in this existing thread. If you don't get a response within a few days, I suggest starting your own thread to ensure the staff sees your question.

Thanks for your head up!
You're probably right. A new thread is the way to go.....

A few questions:
Hi do you have several instances of P3D installed like the original thread poster?
Also do you happen to use Orbx Central? there is a way to download just the MVAMS from that app.
Do you have any other Milviz products installed?

Re: MVAMS error for MD530
Hi,
thank you for offering your help!
I recently uninstalled P3dv3 and then newly installed P3Dv4 together with ORBX (Central) and following MILVIZ Products: UH-1, MD530F, Beaver. However only the MD530F PBR is causing the MVAMS Module error
MVAMS is seperatly installed, i.e. not within ORBX Central.
Hope this narrows down the error possibilities...

Re: MVAMS error for MD530
Are all of your Milviz products purchased from Orbx or do you have some that were purchased directly and some from Orbx?
also you can install MVAMS directly from Orbx Central:
I have a feeling you are stuck with a 32 bit module from P3D V3 in the MVAMS, can you right click MVAMS and pick open file location then go to the modules folder and see if there is a file in there for the MD530? if there is delete it and reinstall the heli again?
