Auto Pilot Over Corrections

Hey Team,
I have owned the King Air for a while and I have noticed a consistent trait that may or may not require attention. It's the autopilot's tendency to command large bank angles to get established on an FMS course. Regardless of the intercept angle (even entering direct-to a waypoint when already tracking direct), the airplane will bank 30 degrees to the left or right, gradually roll wings level, then eventually correct to re intercept the course.
The Flight Director command bars maintain a reasonable intercept angle (i.e only a 10-degree bank required to intercept) but the autopilot banks the aircraft well outside of those indications.
It's the best way I can explain it, it has been persistent throughout all King Air and P3D versions I've had it in. I'm currently using P3D V5.2 and King Air 1.2.0 w/ SP 1.2.
Thanks!
