Arrival runway change "resets" flight plan

Good evening! After having flown only "short" flights around 500nm so far, I decided to check if I could cross the pond Westbound from the Azores to the American continent (Canada for the matter as it's the closest to Europe/Azores).
Living in Portugal, it would be a pain in the @$$ if I had to go all the way through the UK-Iceland-Greenland-Canada.
But now back to subject.
Successfully flew LPFL-CYYT. The OFP created by PFPX indicated that the I should arrive at runway 29 and I chose it in the FMS. However, mid-flight after studying the runways and aprons at CYYT I decided that it would be best to go to runway 20, which was as well within weather limits. However, changing the runway and approach in the DEP/ARR and pressing EXEC made a sort of reset in the route and triggered a direct back to the first waypoint of the route. I had to switch to heading select so as not to do a 180 and do a manual direct to the waypoint I was flying to.
Here's the route I was flying:

LPFL DCT FRS H141 KOLIT DCT 44N040W DCT 45N043W DCT 47N051W DCT CYYT

I was around 70nm from 47N051W when I decided to change the arrival runway/approach and the FMS directed me back to FRS to "re-fly" through all waypoints again and I had to manually do a direct to 47N051W. Is this normal or a bug? I searched through the forum but found nothing about this.

FYI I'm on P3Dv4.5 HF3, KA350i latest stable (not beta) version.

I've had this happen before but I couldn't duplicate the cause to get a proper bug report. If you are able to provide exact repeatable steps that will trigger it I can forward it on to the devs.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I wasn't receiving notifications for new replies here (configured it now).
I haven't flown this bird for a while, but in the following days I will be doing multiple flights with it so I will check if it happens again and if so, in what circumstances if it does.

I'm on the following P3Dv4.5 HF3 and the same thing happens to me. It also happens if I change the world time from Day to Night or vice versa. When that happens the KingAir basically goes into ready to start with no flight plan loaded.

Haven't flown since a couple of months ago (not only this aircraft, but any flight simulator at at), but that didn't happen to me anymore. Last time I flew the King Air I was doing a world tour which I didn't complete yet and had to change approach or runways a few times, but this didn't happen again.
Regarding the "night/day" swap, I bet that's exactly the problem: changing scenario settings with that aircraft loaded. As far as I have been reading around the forum, one should load the flight/scenario first and configure it (as well as time of day) BEFORE going to menu and select this aircraft to fly, so that may possibly be the cause of that anomaly.

I get what your trying to say, but with all the other aircraft I own I can start out a flight during the day and I can change it to night without any issues.

Changing time after a flight is started will cause issues for sure as everything that is time based therein gets screwed up. It's a complex issue but bottom line is set up your flight and then don't play with changing days/time/seasons etc. (acceleration is OK)
