Few questions [Resolved - Chaseplane conflict Middle Mouse Button]
Hello! So far just loving more and more this amazing bird, capable of rivaling with PMDG if it weren't for the "wear and tear" failures of the latter (please don't take it as a criticism but only a mere observation).
I have however a few questions and observations after my first successful flight (the previous one I was able to complete the flight, although I had an engine failure enroute but I was able to successfully land at destination).
Now a couple of bugs I found on my side, which don't influence the success and operation of the flight, but I just noticed it.
1) As I have been reporting for a few days and I think the team is aware of, the middle mouse button on the ESIS for me doesn't work. I am using Chaseplane, however even if I deactivate it, I still cannot press the ESIS selector. I can press the M button and scroll through the functions, but I cannot select any of them, namely barometric pressure, I have to stick with inHg. However, if I press there with the MMB, I can hear the "click" sound, but nothing changes. This is the only knob where this happens. All others (both PFD baro knobs, AP heading sync, speed Mach/IAS, etc are all working fine. Just not the ESIS one.
2) I have noticed a bug on both yoke clocks. The flight I was doing today was made with a time offset of 12h, which means, I was flying as 23-something hours (11 p.m. local/UTC) but in the sim it was 11-something a.m., however in the clocks it was showing 1:xx. The leading number (1 in this case) was missing. However I cycled through the clock modes (UT, LT and ET and back to UT) and it now showed the correct 11:xx time. Both yokes were having this issue and I did the above steps in both of them.
3) On my test flight I did a low pass at an airport with both flaps and gear up. Of course the GPWS gave me "too low" alerts, because I forgot to deactivate them, however after pressing the GPWS buttons it still gave me "too low, gear" alerts. Is this normal?
So far these were the only three issues I found.
Now a couple of observations:
I have a trim wheel to control the elevator trim, the one Saitek launched a few years ago, similar to the real Cessna trim wheel and it works well with all other addons I have, except with the PMDG 777 which doesn't have a mechanical trimp wheel and only an electrical one, and it doesn't work either with your King Air. Is this a bug or is it the same case of the PMDG? I can use the trim with my yoke buttons however, just like I do on the other maker's plane.
Is there here in the forum any real world pilot on the King Air who flies such planes in Europe for example?
Are imperial measurements used in all B350s around the world, namely weight inputs on the FMS and the fuel gauges? I am asking this because Airbuses and Boeing have both choices as far as I'm aware (at least in the addons for FS/P3D), but none of the general aviation or executive aviation addons for P3D or Flight Simulator (at least since FS2000) have metric system options, however the Eaglesoft Citation X, although it is as well in imperial with no option to choose metric, has an FMS page for conversions, however the Milviz (and Carenado which I used before) don't have any option to choose metric, nor has any conversion functionality.
Anyway, I am just loving this addon!

Re: Few questions
Hi,
About your observations (v1.2- P3D v5x)
1) My middle mouse button works right. I can operate the ESIS selector without any trouble. Something in your config is interfering there. Please recheck Chaseplane.
2) I placed the a/c in Marshall Islands (UTC+12) and couldn't see the issue you describe, sorry:
3) Too Low Gear is not cancellable, Too Low Flaps is, using Flaps OVRD button.
Regarding pitch trim, the pedestal wheel is only operable by mouse input. Any hardware control/key will be tied to the electrical portion.
Hope this helps
Tomas

Re: Few questions
Hello Tomas and thanks for your quick reply!
Did you try that in real time (that is, sim clock synchronised with the Windows clock), meaning Windows UTC with the same time as simulator UTC? I was flying with a different time in the sim than the one in reality (I use FS Real Time).
Keep up with the wonderful job!
Hope this helps

v1.2 here as well, but P3D v4.5 HF3
Will do. It seems logical that the issue is somewhere on my side, as I have been told by one of the other staff at Milviz that so far I am the only one person with such issues. What makes me scratch my head with this issue is that when I click on it with the MMB, I can hear the "click" sound as if indeed it was clicked, however with no other changes.

Thank you! All clear now. Indeed it was the gear alert that was sounding, not the flaps.
Thanks! All clear now!

Re: Few questions
I think FS real time could potentially interfere with wear and tear but someone else with more knowledge would have to tell for sure.
I can say that after loading the aircraft and then jumping time or location around is a bad idea. The preferred way is to setup the flight and time/ location on the Scenario setup screen for the intended flight conditions and then start from there. Out of curiosity when do you load FSrealtime?

Re: Few questions
Thanks for the heads up and I was already aware of the idea that one should configure the sim (scenario etc) and leave the aircraft choice to the end. I don't remember now where did I read that, but probably here in the forum, or at ORBX... Really don't know. Also, I am aware that recent versions of FSUIPC and P3Dv4 can keep the sim time symched to Windows time, the thing is, sometimes (quite a lot, actually) I fly from/to Airports that require daylight operation (mountainous areas and examples alike) but I don't always have the opportunity to fly there at times where in reality is daytime and FS Realtime allows me to keep the sim clock synched to a certain offset different from real time (let's say for example that I am flying to somewhere where it is 3 in the morning when I am able to fly. Then I set FSRT to maintain for example an offset of -12h, which makes the sim "be" at 3 pm earlier and thus, in plain daylight.
as for when I load FSRT, beforelaunching the sim. FSRT has an option to automatically launch the sim when FSRT launches and does its startup check. I first launch ActiveSky, which is as well advised to be running before launching the sim, then I load FSRT, which aferwards launches the sim automatically. then I load my scenario with default airport and aircraft, connect FSRT to the sim, then I choose the time on FSRT and THEN I select de KA350i.
Anyway, the situation I described before is merely a visual issue with no importance to me and I can perfectly with it, besides as I said earlier, I was able to do a walkaround and correct it myself

Re: Few questions
Few updates:
- Indeed if I close totally Chaseplane (and not only deactivate it through MMB), I can use the MMB to operate ESIS.
- Regarding my previous experience with the yoke clock, I also confirm that it didn't happen again
all sorted now, I think
