1.2 Cockpit Dark

Updating the content package fixed this for every other aircraft except this one (New PBR for 5.1 obviously). I am now on 5.1 client, content, and scenery. Default shaders, yes I cleared them, not dark in any other plane. EA is off. I know LM is still probably tweaking PBR for 5.1 HF1. Now that the windshield effect DXGI crash appears to be gone (not just trueglass, it was a2a, glacs, etc), been really looking forward to getting back into the King Air. Any suggestions?

To my knowledge it's not getting changed. V5 is always darker with the exact same textures. It should look the same between V4 and V5 yet they do not... If it were as simple as increasing the brightness of a few textures we probably would have done so but there is a lot more work than just doing that. Unfortunately we can't invest time in retexturing something that may be broken yet again in a subsequent update.

With EA turned ON, the cockpit is normal brightness. Only with EA off is is too dark to even be usable for me.

In P3D Lighting settings you can turn off casting/receiving shadows internal vehicle it makes a huge difference:

If you don't want that off for all vehicles make a new graphics profile for the KA in P3D

Another easy way is to use the indirect lighting knob on the overhead panel. If you increase it slightly, you will have no problem finding your knobs, even though it will have the sightly blueish colour of indirect lighting.
Anyway, the future of P3D is with EA, and in that mode the panel is perfectly clear... as long as it doesn't crash !
