KA350 will not install, key could not be validated. [Resolved]

Hi,

Just purchased the KA350i today for my P3D v5.

The download and install of the prerequisites worked fine. But, when I try to install the aircraft itself I get an error message saying that the serial key could not be validated.

I run the installer as admin, the key consist of only numbers so no confusion with letters. Windows updated, specs should be ok. What is the problem?

Let me see if I can get some help for you to get your key reset.

There have been several cases where a licence key has been rejected for a seemingly bizarre reason

• Sometimes typing the key in has worked where copying and pasting didn't
• Occasionally windows archive extractor corrupts the file - try using 7zip instead https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
• Sometimes a punctuation character or accented letter can cause a key rejection
• windows not being up to date can cause this issue
• Most common of all is not running the installer as admin
• Sometimes a complete uninstall and then re-install will fix the issue

Hi,

Thanks for the rapid reply. I've been away during the week-end and had a chance to look at it just now.

I am always installing sim hardware as an admin, this time as well. And, I have tried typing the code several times, as well as copy/paste. It's no doubt that Windows is up to date and all these basic items that you mention seems not to be the problem. I downloaded the installer again and tried all over with the anti virus scan disabled. The download is a exe-file and I don't quite get the tip about the zip-program.

Still the same error message, and I still need some more help to sort out the problem.

I see that a key reset is mentioned, how do we go forward with that?
