Select radar and CTD

Here we go again. Brand new PC ( i9-10900K with a GeForce RTX™ 3080 10GB), freshly loaded p3d 4.5..., using AS p3d beta.
Fresh install of MV_KA350i_v1.1.40_20201015. As soon as I load the plane and select radar on the pilots' PFD, I get a silent CTD; no messages on screen or event viewer. I was able to complete one flight yesterday without selecting the radar button. Is there something missing from the install package that might cause this (I remember a recent staff post mentioning the radar module temporarily).
If not, what next?

I am sorry I am unable to reproduce this. I switched on the radar, tried the various modes including terrain and no crash. Can you provide any more details? Maybe a crash log from windows event viewer?

No crash reports, either in Event Viewer or View All Problem Reports; no red flags.
Does Active Sky, old version or beta, have any effect on the K350? I went to their beta a few months ago before getting a new machine, and that problem first appeared.

By grasping at straws I mean the problem started on one PC and appears again on a new PC.

Strange as it should work with any weather addons but you never know. I have been running the AS beta but don't have these crashes. Could you try to either not run it or temporarily uninstall it?

While still on my last pc, I took advantage of a free beta offer for as3pd4.5. As soon as I started using that version, I think, the radar got weird in the KA. I was still able t run as2016 to test if that still worked, but the radar remained corrupted. Now on a new PC, and the ka350 closes down almost immediately when selecting radar. Oddly enough, I have 2 other popular tubeliners. When in the cockpit of either, if I try to select the mcp button for pfd radar, I get an immediate & identical ctd. No error messages.
Both planes work normally for me otherwise, flights can be flown satisfactorily. But I can't help but think asp3d 7514 may be causing this. I'm guessing HiFi is waiting for the first major revision for p3d5 to appear. I'm hoping the final product if friendlier to me.
