getting "no preview available" [Resolved]

New PC here. I had been updating the KA on the old PC, and I reinstalled frequently. Never saw this on the old PC, but getting it now after trying to install v1.40 on new machine. Saw that message, deleted 1.40 again, the reinstalled 1.39 but problem persists.
Maybe an activation problem since I've reinstalled/reactivated so many times?

Did it throw any errors when you put in your key etc during the installation? It almost seems like you have an incomplete install.
Running installer as admin/ antivirus off/ sim directory excluded from Windows defender scans etc?

It was the admin thing as well as the w10 defender. New PC, old fart user; what can go wrong?
