Hello all,

We have a final testing version of 1.2 available. As was the case before, the high resolution and low resolution options are now included in the installer. You can select "Custom Install" and unselect the "High Resolution" features to install only the low resolution options.

Note: If you have both V4 and V5 installed you must pick "Custom" install to select which simulators to install to ("Typical" is V5 High resolution )

I'm running W10 and P3D v4.5 HF3. I've been installing updates since 1.1.16. The only one I've missed is 1.1.39. Until now I haven't had any problems that needed reporting.

During installing 1.1.40 today I wasn't given the option of P3D V 4.5 or V5. It just installed. Is that supposed to happen? Once I hopped into the cockpit the textures were quite blotchy. Nothing like previous versions. While panning round, my screen turns black, with occasional glimpses of the cockpit. It's certainly not flyable in this condition. The same happens in external view - panning around causes mostly a black screen with occasion glimpses of the aircraft. Also the co-pilot's PFD will not turn on. This behaviour is peculiar to the KA350 only. No other addons are affected.

Thinking that I may have mistakenly installed P3D V5, I uninstalled the aircraft, and then re-installed it. Again I wasn't given a choice of flight sims. I get the same back screens when panning around.

Any suggestions for a solution?

When running with Active Sky i am getting continuous cloud flickering which occurs every 5-15 seconds.
This is with real Light and True Glass only aircraft im getting such frequent cloud flickers with.
AS is producing flickets but normally no more than every 60 seconds to two minutes.
With the 350 its literally every 5-8 seconds sometimes more frequent.
This is using Legacy render without it i have flashing screens but no flashing clouds.
No significant flickering in previous versions.
Also reinstalled no reallight or trueglass flickers remain..

We did not change anything relating to the installation process of rendering technology in the latest release. The install, unless you select "custom" and which packages you want, will install to all available sims. The flickering can usually be mitigated by setting an upper FPS limit (way above your FPS, it doesn't have to be restrictive).

With this latest version, P3D crashes as soon as I enter a from airport on the fpl page. Have tried with different airac cycles, but it consistently happens.

Hi Jack I have been unable to reproduce this on my end. Can you please specify P3Dv4 or V5? I suspect an out of video memory error if you are running V5 . More details would be helpful. Thanks.

I found that TrueGlass.dll under the P3D\gauuges folder is unstable. I disable it by renaming it to TrueGlass.dll.off and most of the CTD issues gone.
You can try it, won't heart

Once your sim loads if you can please press "shift z" 2 or 3 times and let me know how much video memory is available and how much is used or post a screen shot of it here? Did you run the installer as admin?

Video memory was not the issue (6 out of 10 Gb at the moment it CTD's). I did however reinstall as admin (which I was certain I did anyway) and the issue has disappeared. So, I must have forgotten te admin part when I initially installed.

Thanks for your support! And it's great to fly this amazingly detailed machine again after all the simplified MSFS2020 stuff.

P3D V4: In relation to textures and luminosity, I found both OK, even pushing the aircraft setup settings to max level. But I've found a weird thing: the FMC radios are now useless. I cannot tune the stations unless I use the panel radio. Am I doing something wrong?

I suspect you have the radios set wrong. can you post a screenshot of the VC and how you have it setup?
