Error in the FMS waypoint distances

Post by maenixon » Sun Oct 11, 2020 1:26 pm

I entered a flight plan into the FMS, from KSFO from to KSAN and found that the distance between two waypoints is shown as over 700 NM, which is obviously far too high by a factor of ten.

Has anyone else encountered this sort of error?

Further to my last posting, is there any way to cancel a flightplan during a flight?

I've tried several ways but cannot do that.

In many cases with navdata there are duplicate waypoints, as there is in the real world. Without a specific flight plan it's hard to say where you went wrong.

AFAIK there is no way to "cancel a FP" once you are airbourne, you can select a different nav source and fly however you want or use direct to's etc.
