KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Hello all,
This update seeks to address a few snags we've seen recently. As was the case before, the high resolution and low resolution options are now included in the installer. You can select "Custom Install" and unselect the "High Resolution" features to install only the low resolution options.
Note: If you have both V4 and V5 installed you must pick "Custom" install to select which simulators to install to ("Typical" is V5 High resolution )
Installer: https://milviz.com/Online_products/Prod ... 200915.exe
Changes
-Fixed page index of pilot routes
-Improved sorting of PILOT ROUTE LIST
-Fixed an extra directory being created by the installer
-Fixed inability to enter a PILOT ROUTE via the FPLN page
-Removed MV_WXM DLL from directory structure (to mitigate CTD for the interim)

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Collin,
thank you for the recent improvements to the FMS. Here is what I found in v1.1.38:
FMS Pilot route sort order is wrong way (from Z to A)
The filenames which are automatically created by the FMS contain a semicolon (i.e. KSFO;KEGE.xml), although the CDU has no semicolon. Maybe you could use the TFDi 717 file convention instead (KSFOKEGE.xml).

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Michael,
Agreed, I can likely change that (I thought about that before the update). I'll tweak those two elements for the next update.
Edit: I actually stand corrected - per the manual, it can have a : character (the example in the manual shows <KICT:KSTL). My thought was that automatically named routes, like that, must be selected via the PILOT ROUTE LIST page, instead of keyed in manually for manually named routes. Perhaps a pilot can weigh in here.

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Hello Turbofandude,
I am a novice with the KA350i and still battling with its complexities, so please forgive my asking for answers to what may appear as obvious points:-
1. Where is the Pilot Route List, (I haven't been able to find it) which I think may allow me to use previously saved Flights that I have in P3D v4.5. Am I correct here?
2. It would make things easier (for me at any rate!) to be able to bring up the Flight Guidance Panel in the same way as the PFD, MFD, FMS, etc., that is, with Shift-N. I notice that Shift-9 is not used and maybe this could be utilised for the FGP?

Mark,
as you said, it is a complex airplane which needs to study the manuals thoroughly. The FMS-manual is for download here:
https://milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=12463
The key to the Pilot Route List is on the second sub-page of the IDX (Index) page.
Good flight,
Michael

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Michael,
Thanks for your reply.
I found the Pilot Route List but expected it would allow me to access the Flight Plans I had made for other aircraft in P3D as that was what I had understood from other postings.
This is obviously not the case, so would you tell me if there is in fact some way of accessing those Flight Plans?

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
The KA's FMS will only be able to load flight plans created specifically for it or by it. The format used for company routes is very different in most cases (with the exception of the 717's, as they are nearly but not quite identical).

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Mark,
this is an example:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Version1>
<Departure>KEGE</Departure>
<Arrival>KSEZ</Arrival>
<Legs>
<Leg Type="Waypoint" Ident="GLENO" Latitude="39.347732962963" Longitude="-107.368914074074"/>
<Leg Type="Waypoint" Ident="BRICK" Latitude="38.749872037037" Longitude="-108.289414074074"/>
<Leg Type="Waypoint" Ident="IVOYE" Latitude="38.313242037037" Longitude="-108.652232962963"/>
<Leg Type="Waypoint" Ident="APORY" Latitude="37.487107962963" Longitude="-109.483372037037"/>
<Leg Type="Waypoint" Ident="GOXEL" Latitude="36.692497037037" Longitude="-110.356107962963"/>
<Leg Type="Navaid" Ident="TBC" Latitude="36.121325" Longitude="-111.269585925926"/>
<Leg Type="Navaid" Ident="FLG" Latitude="35.147197037037" Longitude="-111.674164074074"/>
</Legs>
</Version1>
The FMS can save flightplans which you have keyed in. This example FP resides on my P3D installation in "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Milviz\MVKA350i\Routes" and it has the automatically created name "KEGE;KSEZ".
All the best,
Michael

Anyone seen this error before? Not getting it with other aircraft, only the latest version (1.1.38) that I installed today.
"The operating system is not presently configured to run this application"
First time ever receiving this error.

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Michael,
Thanks for that example.
Now I know the format of a FMS Flight Plan, but how do I enter a new FP in the FMS?
I have read through the FMS-UV-21_USER_GUIDE but cannot work out how to actually enter a Flight Plan, much less save it to MVKA350i\Routes. The User Guide does not give a process for entering a new FP.
Would you please explain how to do that.

Mark,
on the Milviz KA350i product page https://milviz.com/flight/products/KA350/index.php you will find a number of tutorial films which also cover the FMS.

Michael,
Thank you for the link: https://milviz.com/flight/products/KA350/index.php.
I've been watching Preflight and Engine Start Part 1 and would like to make a comment. Because I need to avoid disturbing other people in the room, I decided to turn the sound off and use the close-captions. Whatever is used to produce these makes serious mistakes in interpreting the spoken words, which makes the whole thing difficult to understand!
I'm pretty sure that others have encountered this problem too.
Still, I'll do my best to grapple with it...

I have the same error and started a separate topic. No answers yet. The error started for me after updating Windows 10. I removed and reinstalled the KA350, as well as uninstalled and upgraded the P3D client, still didn’t fix it.dominicburjak wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 7:21 amAnyone seen this error before? Please have a look here: same error, is not a Milivz fault, but the last Microsoft Office ubdate, destroyed the libraries (used for the aircraft) which need to be repaired.
Cheers.

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.38 Beta (V4 + V5)
Since last May 24, I've been using the 1.1.29 stable version, using it to complete a round World tour started in Jan-2020. The 1.1.29 fulfilled all my navigational needs and after learning to NOT change the time in hours after loading the aircraft, there were no more engine problems.
But this week, I decided to download V-1.1.38 and give a chance to a Beta flight. Although my rig is not top-notch - I can fly PMDGs to not so crowded airports without stutters - I risked installing the Complete option in my P3D V4 (I will install V5 only in Jan-2021) and I had a nice surprise making a complete 400nm flight without any stutter nor any issues.
My compliments to the Milviz crew. The aircraft for me is perfect and, at least in P3D V4, is working flawless and smooth.
Regards
