DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
This topic has been mentioned in other posts but it is preventing me from using this product so it's worthy of a topic of its own.
I was able to use the Kingair 1.1.36 in P5D for 3 flights, then started getting CTDs, usually immediately after loading the aircraft. I tried turning off TrueGlass, no change. Remming out the RealGlass and TrueLight entries from the panel.cfg allowed the aircaft to load but without lights. Remming out only the TrueGlass allowed the sim to run for about an hour of GPU-powered systems famil and FMS programming. A CTD then occurred at the exact moment the engine 2 starter was engaged.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
These types of errors can be due to many reasons, not necessarily the KA....
What it boils down to is an overloaded GPU and if the card doesn't respond within a certain time, windows kills it to prevent a hard lock.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
That worked well yesterday for one flight. Thanks for the link.
Today I get an error saying that the operating system is not configured for this software.

The only thing different with my computer is I installed Office 365 this morning. P5D runs fine until I select the KA350 at startup.

IIRC The 350i does something with ODBCs. You may wanna try to re-install the KA and see if that works

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Correct, that is a completely different problem. Happens when you install 32 bit MS office into 64 bit OS and it installed the 32bit ODBC. Let me see if I can find that thread and the fix...

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
I have spent at least 50 hours troubleshooting this error in the past 2 weeks, not just with the King Air, but any aircraft that has TrueGlass.
My latest findings show great success with making sure within P3D settings menu: Vsync and Triple buffering is off, and frame rate is unlimited, then go to Nvidia control panel. Set Max frame rate to 60 (or your monitors refresh rate), Power mangement set to maximum performance, Vsync on, and I use triple buffering on.
In the many years I've used P3D or FSX, I've never used the nvidia control panel for anything other than the power management setting, but the settings I've outlined have been saving my sanity. I still have much more testing to do, but I am unable to trigger the dxgi device hung crash by doing this.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
DX12 can push your video card much harder than any previous version so any instabilities will raise their ugly head. I had this problem with an EVGA card that was factory overclocked the only fix for me was to figure out what stock clocks were for that chip and downclock it back to that and these types of problems went away.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Underclocking never worked for me, as the card was running well below max loads regardless. I believe there's an actual problem with v5 related to VSync that is throwing these errors for some people.

Just posting to say that this solution seems to work perfectly. It did for me

I was scratching my head since I had that exact problem... solved, thanks

Thanks, feedback helps. Especially if it is a hard to nail down problem like this.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Well, after all, the problem is not solved...
Very strange since it used to crash during the start-up sequence every time. After applying the above mentioned fix, I managed to do a complete (albeit local) flight. That is why I thought problem was solved. Thereafter, started to crash again, even though somewhat later.
I don't have this problem with the PMDG NGXu, so clearly there is something here at MilViz that you should do to find a solution.
Very frustrating, because your KingAir is just awesome !

I soon found this to be the case too. It just delays the crash. Now on P3D 5.1 with no end to the TrueGlass DXGI crash in sight. Sim is stable as a rock with TrueGlass out of the picture.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Tried removing True Glass, but no joy...
Systematic and almost immediate crash when P3D5 in EA,
Better when in legacy (but depending on scenery complexity and weather using ASP3D).
Bottom line : I'm stopping using the KA for the time since I don't want to spend most of my time trying to fix things, I just want to fly (and would like so much to do it with that KIngAir !)
As this problem only occurs with that add-on, I believe it's up to MilViz to find us a solution !

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Removing Trueglass effectively lowers the video memory footprint of the KA. If you are having problems still even without that then you may have a hardware/driver problem.
What is your video card/VRAM?
Have you tried the TDR fix?
What Windows10 version are you using?
Have you tried turning on Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling(https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3599 ... benchmarks) to let the GPU control it's memory instead of the OS?
