Milviz PL-21/FMS-300 manual- opinions needed

Post by john-m » Sun Aug 02, 2020 1:02 am

Hi all,

I'm currently in the process of writing a comprehensive manual for both the FMS-3000 and PL-21 avionics system as we have simulated in the KA 350i.

My question is simple: what would you all like to see included, taught, or discussed? I know what to include from a technical point of view in terms of detailing how and why it works, but I want to get some opinions to see what people would like to see covered in the finished manual.

Thanks!

I'd like to see some examples of how things are entered (little screen snips of the FMS) for instance pilot defined waypoints like in the citation manual another user posted. Helps tremendously.

I personally would like to see all functions that are simulated covered with examples and snippets (as Slayer requested). It would also be good to have tables (e.g. CG and Weight and Balance, V-Speeds, etc) that can easily be referenced.
