Autopilot made a right turn instead of a left

I was flying the NDB approach for runway 36 at BIHN (Jeppesen 16-1), HN transition. Once passing HN I activated APPR and it continued to follow the path properly. Then I reached D194F (or 6nm out from HN on 194 degrees), the autopilot cycled to the FN36 waypoint as it should, but decided to make a right turn instead of a left:

I took over and flew it in myself, but this isn't the first time I've seen this behaviour on turns like this. This is on .30. I'd report it in that thread, but this isn't exclusive for .30, I have had it happen in .29 and before as well.

I haven’t made note of other places where this has happened, but I have noticed similar things when APPR FMS starts a capture of the ILS while in a turn it will immediately make a turn the other way (toward the needle, so to say). Not sure if related, but I’d expect it to continue turning in the way it already was turning.
