King Air prevents scenery from loading [chaseplane conflict]

Hi guys,

I desperately need your help or advice.

For about 2 weeks I have experienced that the King Air (only the KA) prevents my scenery to load. All I see from the cockpit is water. When I switch to any external view, the scenery and airplane start to load but if I go back to the cockpit view there's just water again.

First I thought it was a problem with my sim as I had (re)installed some scenery, ORBX mainly because I didn't get rid of an objectflow error, so I reinstalled the scenery again and now even the whole simulator (P3D 4.5 HF3). Then I noticed that I can load the flight without any issues with any other aircraft, default or addon, but not with the KA. Basically, when I click start on the loading UI, it quickly runs through that little load bar, I hear the engines for a second until the aircraft loads to Cold and Dark and then I only see water. No scenery, not cockpit, nothing.

No 3rd party shaders, shader folder deleted, p3d.cfg deleted etc etc

Any advice and help is highly appreciated.

btw as I mentioned ORBX above: I have NOT purchased the KA via ORBX but directly via Milviz if that makes any technical difference.

Just after sending this I remembered (yes I'm a genius) that I can load a flight with the default F22 and switch to the KA later. This works well. Anyway I'd love to get this solved, I have a feeling that there are issues deeper than that as this behaviour appeared over time, I never had issues loading the KA before.

this is the high res version, downloaded yesterday, but it started to happen with the built I had before from late April I think.

The thing is that it came over time so I thought it was scenery or even dying hardware. But it's only the kingair, other aircraft like for example the FSLs and PMDGs load without issues. Also at least the scenery and Cockpit loaded well yesterday after I loaded the F22 first but then I was forced to ADC2 (the switch was stuck on the right) and my autopilot did strange things. After takeoff with toga enganged I handflew to 11000 ft which was preselected and hit "alt hold", my FMA said VS-9900 and the airplane wanted to dive. I immediately shut off the AP and stabilized it, tried FLC and the FMA showed M.010, I then wanted to climb to FL250 and select 160kts for the cliumb but the speed bug was stuck at 96kts.

One thing that came to my mind: Could this be the CMOS battery, although, as mentioned, it only affects the KA at present.

I reinstalled the KA350 yesterday for the first time since SP1 was released and saw this issue as well. I'll try the loading F-22 first trick, but we really shouldn't have to do that.

I'm having this as well, but when I force a camera change (ChasePlane in this case), it starts loading the scenery around me. I'm not currently flying any other aircraft, so I haven't been able to check if this is true for other aircraft.

Are all of you that are having problems using chase plane or other camera addons? Trying to find what your 3 systems have in common that could cause this.

I do Own chase plane but haven't had it installed in ages, if need be I can install it again.

Yes i also had this problem with just seeing water with high res and scenery trying to load (i.e. houses in the air that slowly make their way down) etc. Checked with another aircraft and no issue so it is linked to ka. I have a high end pc and have latest version of ka from milvz not orbx. I did a fresh reinstall of the entire system and it worked again but just waiting for it to come back as i havent installed all scenery as yet.

I have ChasePlane, yes. And it did just go through a major update recently.

Just to add, this does not occur with other planes and CP so something maybe conflicting between the king air and chaseplane.

I have installed Chaseplane and can confirm that it is the cause of all these weird issues.

That being said it is a 3rd party program - you should reach out to the developer and see what they can do to correct it.

I have notified our developers as well.

A workaround is to uncheck the option to always have chaseplane load with the sim. In my limited tests - NOT using chaseplane the aircraft works perfectly.

Slayer, i would have a guess that its the ka that has the issues with chaseplane not the other way around. Given all other aircraft work just fine. Chaseplane wont assist when its one single plane causing the issues when the others work.
