Are you using an aircraft other than a Milviz one as your default aircraft?
YES
Have you installed in the root sim directory?
YES
Do you have the appropriate SimConnect libraries installed?
YES
Aircraft: KA350i
Sim platform: P3D v.4
Operating system: Win10
Version: 1.200524
Unique ticket identifier: B5FAD88C-65D9-34F5-5196-73B0EFDAB983
On 2020/06/02 I bought your 350i through ORBX Central.
The download and installation went smoothly, verification of the file was ok.
The plane looks great in exterior and interior view.
All gauges etc. look good and work, I can remove the chocks, engine and pitot covers.
Response to inputs from yoke and rudder ok.
The engine control block is fully functional if I use the mouse wheel for inputs.
My problem starts if I want to use the levers of the CH-Quadrant for engine control.
All six engine axis respond completely erratic and the engine controls don't move at all.
The response to the flap lever is ok in interior view but there is no flap movement in exterior view.
The elevator trim wheel doesn't respond to input from my trim wheel.
I assigned buttons for aileron and rudder trim. Rudder trim ok, aileron trim erratic.
It doesn't make a difference if I try to use FSUIPC4 or direct input from P3Dv4.
I can calibrate all my axis with MVAMS, but as you see I can't fly the plane.
I have your Dash-8, Otter and Talon and I fly all of them with FSUIPC4.
I have a host of assorted planes installed, PMDG, Aerosoft, Carenado and many more, I fly all of them with FSUIPC4.
My activated sceneries are from ORBX.

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Hi,
Please read this info on how to properly configure your controls:
Other issues:
-Flaps motor won't engage when battery is the only source of power and BUS TIE switch is not manually closed.
-Elevator Trim commanded from a joystick/controller is the same. But trim wheel can be "manually" dragged with the mouse at any moment.
Hope this helps,
Tomas

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Thanks Tomas,
It helped, but I have still problems.
The power levers don't move below idle, I can't get to ground idle.
I can't get the prop levers to feather.
The condition levers move down to cutoff.
I think that I properly calibrated all levers, but as you see all of them don't move down to their lowest level.
The flap lever still moves in the virtual cockpit view, but the flaps don't extend on the outside.
Can you please give me some further advice?

Ok.
Let me know if this video is of any help:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0W2fbZ0ZPPc
Would be very simple to config using similar options in P3D.
Regarding the flaps lever, it can move freely without any power source BUT flaps motor won't engage if not properly powered.

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
The CH-Control Manager creates havoc when used with P3Dv4.
For this reason I uninstalled it quite some time ago.
I downloaded the latest only slightly modified version and had the old problems.
Now I am back to find out why all six engine levers don't go back to a zero baseline.
No what?

After remapping the entries for the engine levers all works just fine.
I am closing this post for now.

Not so fast!
I still have problems with the condition levers and the flaps.

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Which are those CL problems?
Also, did you read what I told you about the flaps? Do you have flaps mapped to a lever or to controller's buttons?

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Tomas thanks for your patience!
The Flaps are working now programmed with a FSUIPC-Axis. You told me that "Flaps motor won't engage when battery is the only source of power and BUS TIE switch is not manually closed" I couldn't find a BUS TIE switch, but "Gen Ties Main Close" solved my problem with the flaps.
It looks like the CL levers are blocked from going to the cut-off position during normal operations, which makes a lot of sense. What are the conditions to turn off the fuel?
BTW, the prop levers work just fine with FSUIPC, so I kept them there!

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
That's correct. I am used to call the GEN Ties Switch as BUS Tie because that's what it does, ties all the electrical buses so the complete electrical system works as a whole.ufetzer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 9:26 pm

CL should cut off fuel when pulled all back; doing that with a lever or using keyboard/mouse drag.It looks like the CL levers are blocked from going to the cut-off position during normal operations, which makes a lot of sense. What are the conditions to turn off the fuel?
Please try with mouse drag, then with default P3D Ctrl-Shift-F1; if fuel cuts normally then you should have to configure your CL using the tutorial I sent in a previous message.
Thanks!

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
I tried mouse drag before, it works for a few seconds, then the lever for CL1 inevitably jumps back to low idle, the lever for CL2 stays in place.
The same thing happens if I use Ctr-Shift-F1. The levers for CL1 and CL2 work without problems in the entire idle range as already mentioned before.
I took the plane on a short test-flight, wow!
Some things still need to be cleaned up:
"L and R DC GEN" are still lit up in the annunciator. Am I to stupid to turn the generators on?
Thanks a lot for your assistance!

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Hi Tomas again,
When I took my test flight I couldn't retract my landing gear. The lever in the virtual cockpit moves up, but this thing didn't budge, not even when I hit the G-key. It doesn't matter if the button for the landing gear in the virtual cockpit is on or off.
I took another flight with gear down. The DC-generators a still brightly lit in the annunciator.
I am close, but not yet done.
Greetings.

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Hi Tomas,
Your gadfly is back!
When I submitted my last post, I was airborne with gear up.
I used my gear lever (programmed with FSUIPC) twice to retract and lower my gear. It worked in both cases.
I could continue my flight inspite the DC-Generators still inop and the alarm beeping.
On final I tried to lower the gear. Nothing happened when I moved the gear lever, and nothing happened when I pushed the button which I mapped to the "G" key of the keyboard.
Therefore not so fast again!
My last post " my gear lever is working no!" with its typo ("no" instead of "now") was ironically true.
Now to the persistent generator problem:
The two generator switches right of the battery switch are definitively on, reset doesn't help.
So I thought these switches possibly turn on AC-Generators. But where are the switches for the DC-Generators?
I am convinced the abovementioned switches are for the DC-Generators. Are they on or off? Is the annunciator signal failing?
Slowly I believe in gremlins!

It seems you forgot to turn OFF the Starter switches. In IGN AND START position generator power is inhibited.ufetzer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 8:12 pm
