MVAMS Unusable
Does your system meet the sim's requirements? YES
Did you temporarily disable your anti-virus program during the download process? YES
Before installing did you disable UAC. (User Account Control)? YES
Did you install, and are you running the sim as an admin? YES
Before running the sim did you make sure the FSX/P3D directory is off limits to any AV scanning? YES
Does your system have the required distributables? YES
Is your video card DX11 compatible? YES
If applicable, did you disable any FSX to P3D migration tools (like Estonia) before running the sim? YES
Are you using an aircraft other than a Milviz one as your default aircraft? YES
Have you installed in the root sim directory? YES
Do you have the appropriate SimConnect libraries installed? YES
Aircraft: KA350i
Sim platform: P3D v.4
Operating system: Win10
Version: 191223
Unique ticket identifier: A5643F23-8779-061C-5C34-D4801610171E
MVAMs seems to be completely unusable for me since I purchased this product. I have complied with all of the above recommendations. I've attempted reinstalling after deleting the MVAMS folder in AppData > Local and it still does not function. When I click on the MVAMS.exe file and run it as an administrator (same result whether or not I run it as an administrator by the way), the following error comes up:
https://prnt.sc/sei82x
Unfortunately, there is no error that comes up in the event viewer. If I click 'OK,' this screen appears:
https://prnt.sc/rqc55w
The only MilViz aircraft I own is the King Air. When I click on the icon in the top left of the screen, nothing happens.
A couple of other notes:
This error happens regardless of whether or not MVAMS is launched as an administrator
This error happens regardless of whether or not my Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick, throttle, and rudder pedals are plugged in
This error happens regardless of whether or not my simulator is already running at the time MVAMS is launched
This error happens regardless of whether or not my antivirus is on at the time MVAMS is launched
I have the latest version of the King Air that is posted in this forum. No updates have resolved this problem.
Assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Re: MVAMS Unusable
One thing with the MVAMS I noticed is that clicking on the upper left doesn't work as you think it should. Just move your mouse over the icon in the upper left corner and the menu of installed Milviz aircraft should drop open. Do you see the 350i at all, even momentarily, for it to disappear just as quickly, or does it not appear at all?
When you installed the KingAir, did the installer install the necessary stuff prior to aircraft installer? The XMLToolsInstaller for example... Maybe that is not working?
Trying to help, but scratching my head on this one... I have never had any install issues with Milviz. They always seemed to work pretrty much out of the box. This jumping through hoops you are experiencing is a new one to me...

Re: MVAMS Unusable
SharpDX is a DirectX API for .NET/C#, that can be used to read data from USB game controllers (I guess that's what it's used for within MVAMS)
The error message says "... cannot read from the specified device".
Try to unplug all USB Game Controllers or other USB devices from your PC (apart from mouse and keyboard), and try again.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the help, guys! It turns out that ccmh15's suggestion worked for getting MVAMS to come up properly. It's a small inconvenience, but at least it works now. I'll post here if I notice anything else with it.

Good to hear!
Just out of curiosity, did you also find out which USB device was causing the error?

Re: MVAMS Unusable
Could it be the cable? Maybe you can replace the USB cable if it is not hardwired into the device (like the MFG Crosswinds I have)...
Strange, but good to see you have found the culprit.
