Right engine torque difference

Post by vicfly » Sun May 10, 2020 5:42 am

Greetings to all

I have the latest version of this plane (May 7) and there is a difference in torque between the turbines, the right turbine maintains more or less 5-8% less torque than the other turbine with the same ITT temperature, for example In my last flight at FL290, I maintained 804 ITT temperature in both turbines, the left turbine 56.9 lbs Torque and the right turbine 51.2 and this causes loss of cruiser speed, I would like to know if this is a "BUG" or is programmed that way.

Thank you all

hi there,

I noticed this too, I was only at FL200 and had about 4% less torque on the right side at about
same ITT values, perhaps even with 2° higher temperature on the weaker side; I tried to adjust
this acting on the power lever but not having a throttle quadrant with the mouse only it's an
impossible task.

on my next round I'll keep an eye on the ITT value to see if it is effectively higher with the lower
torque … may be it's the first sign of simulated engine wear …

stay safe, ciao.

It is intended, to simulate engine actual difference in RL.
By default right engine is set to be less powerful than left, meaning lower torque/greater ITT/greater Oil Temp/Lower Oil pressure.
It is controlled in aircraft.cfg file, and difference can be set either for left, right or none.

Which section of the ".cfg" do I have to modify to have the same two turbines?

Thanks Sr

in aircraft.cfg, MILVIZ CUSTOM DATA section, Engine_Power.0 & Engine_Power.1

I saw on Captain Moonbeam's site that the right engine drives the air conditioner compressor. So lower torque makes sense...
