KA350 way too heavy on frame
The KA350 has always been heavy on frame but untill then it was more or less flybale.
However since the last two version 1.22 and 1.23 it's totally insane and just unflyable.
I made a test, no weather, no AI, in the midle of nowhere (Z23L in Niger if you fancy the trip) here are the FPS I get:
Carenado 185 : 120 FPS steady
Majestic Q400: 100 FPS steady
FSlab A320: between 40 and 45 FPS
Milviz KA350 between 8 and 16 FPS...
When I try to fly in a region with some ORBX, weather and AI the FPS are down on their knees it's not just heavy its totally unflyable.
Please arrange this and make it a priority because it is impossible to fly an aircraft with 10 FPS and that kind of performance is as much annoying as constant CTD there is no way to use the aircraft.
Seriously look at the difference in terms of performance between the Q400 and your aircraft, there is room for improvement.

Re: KA350 way too heavy on frame
Bushido, I have just done a flight from Z23L to HLLS. My frame rate is capped to 40fps and it was about that for the whole flight. ORBX Africa and Active Sky running.
Did you do a full uninstall of all the KA 350 folders before you installed 1.23? (P3D main folder, sim objects and AppData local and roaming)

Hello sharpedge. Yes I did.
Until the last two version the ka350 was heavy (heavier than the fslab A320 and that’s something..) but still flyable.
Now it’s really like a FPS blackhole.

We are working on optimising the textures

Re: KA350 way too heavy on frame
Looking forward for this Oisin.
But I'm not sure it's just the texture, the gap is so huge compared to other add ons (80 FPS difference vs the Q400 !) thats its probably more than just texture.
Anyway appreciate any optimisation you can provide so that I can use the KA350 again.

Re: KA350 way too heavy on frame
Installed version 1.24.
In terms of VRAM usage I can't spot any difference, the aircraft still use 99% of the 6Gb Ram of my 1060 video card like previously, if there is improvement it is not noticeable in the figure.
In terms of FPS however it's a welcome change. Using the same scenario Z23L, no weather, no AI, no nothing I have now in average 50 FPS. However there is a lot a stuter, the FPS goes up and down from 30 to 90 every second.
Other aircraft tend to be much more steady they vary of course but like 5 FPS max, the KA350 is doing a lot of drastic change.
I still have to do a proper flight in a more credible scenario (i.e. real weather, some AI, ORBX region, maybe an add on airport) to check the overall picture but compare to the last two version 1.22 and 1.23 it's better performance wise. (I might have had an issue with the instalation of the last two previous version given the very low number of FPS I had then)
