What can cause the engines to shut down (Not blow) in flight?
Hi guys!
A few moments ago i was at the end of a long (800nm) flight and during cruise like 20nm before TOD both engines shut down on their own. All the parameters where in the green, ITT < 800, with 1500rpm and like 280 in fuel flow or so. They just shut down, the autopilot disconnected and the plane started to dive. The engines didnt blow, i was able to restart both of them and complete the flight.
What can cause that? Any tips? is 800 a bit too much for the ITT?

Hi,
Do you have your Condition Levers mapped to hardware? If so, just try to put them slightly above low idle, avoiding that harware noise might cut the fuel. Never seen that to happen, but might be possible.

That sounds possible. I will try that. This joystick gets funky from time to time.
Btw, What is the maximun ITT for continuous operation?
