COM 2 doesn't stop receiving after switching frequencies until the transmission is finished
I typically use COM 2 in any aircraft to get the ATIS for my airports. I've noticed that in the KA350i ever since I bought (including v1.1.9) it will continue playing the current transmission until it's finished even after switching frequencies. COM 1 doesn't exhibit this behavior; only COM 2 does.
The steps I take to do this are to switch to Page 2 on the NAV/COM display under the ESIS, then select the ATIS frequency of whatever airport I need info for. Switch the frequency to active and as COM 2 is receiving ATIS, switch again to the previous frequency. Of course the ATIS should stop playing at this point, but it continues until it has completed, and THEN stops receiving on that frequency. Doing the same steps as above but using COM 1 instead behaves as expected.
It's a minor issue in my opinion, but could possibly cause problems when flying on VATSIM for example. I don't fly on VATSIM, but if the radios behave the same way online, it could prove troublesome.

Hi,
Just put AUTO COMM switch in Audio Panel to ON; you will receive ATIS in COM2 while keeping COM1 active. Switch OFF to cancel.

The AUTO COMM switch is always on. What does that switch do? Would it cause the problem I'm having? The XMIT selector is on 1, so I would be talking on COM 1 while monitoring both 1 and 2. I would imagine that since I switch frequencies to a dead frequency that the ATIS on COM 2 should immediately stop playing, right?
I have to be a little blunt in saying the documentation that comes with the KA350i doesn't do very well at explaining much about the systems so I'm lost on what the various switches do.

Honestly, ATIS has done this since FS2002. Once started it won't stop until the end.

When either COM1 or COM2 radio is active for transmitting, (XMIT button in 1 or 2), if active frequency is changed then sound will stop playing, otherwise it won't. This is default P3D behavior.
AUTO COMM allows both radios to receive info at same time. If COM1 is selected for transmitting and AUTO COMM is ON, COM2 will play sound and receive audio; as soon as AUTO COMM is switched OFF sound in COM2 will stop playing. And the same behavior applies for COM1 if COM2 is selected in XMIT and AUTO COMM is ON.

@Bill: Ah understood. Maybe I'm just spoiled with the myriad addon aircraft in my virtual hangar that takes care of that for me. They seem to cut the audio immediately after switching frequencies. I'm still learning with the King Air!
@Tomas: Thank you for the explanation! As stated above, I'm still learning about the King Air and its systems. So in this case, if AUTO COMM is on, does that override what I have the COMM 1 and COMM 2 switches set to just below the XMIT selector knob? I always have both of those in the up position. The AUTO COMM switch is a new concept for me. Apologies if I'm just being thick-headed.
