VNAV disappears upon intercept
<t>I was flying the COMIX2 RNAV arrival into SAN cruising FL190. Updated AIRAC and altitude restrictions confirmed in the FMS. A few minutes before crossing LEJEN the advisory vertical guidance window appeared next to the altimeter tape, as I neared LEJEN (restriction Below FL190/Above 15,000) the green diamond made it's way down until it intercepted then the entire box disappeared and AP went from VALT to ALT. There was no VNAV guidance at all for the rest of the arrival. <br/>
<br/>
Did I program something wrong? There was a discontinuance in the LEGS page but that's because this STAR ends with a vector, it shouldn't interfere with VNAV earlier in the procedure, closing the DISCO did not help.
Thank you! </t>

UPDATE: I forgot to include;
P3D 4.5 HF2
KA350i V1.1.18 (installed it two days ago so I think the most recent version)
Navigraph 2005

Re: VNAV disappears upon intercept
Hi,
VNAV path descent cannot continue through a VECTORS leg, or a DISCO. Once VECTORS is reached, there are two options after receiving ATC instructions:
- If ATC is giving different headings to capture ILS for example, descent must be manually performed, at pilot discretion or as instructed.
- If ATC instructs to go direct a wpt and continue with FP, then a DIRECT TO ALTITUDE can be performed if that wpt contains a VNAV altitude restriction, even it can be added by pilot if none. FMS will create a direct path to the wpt, that can be flown in VPATH or any other descent mode.

Thank you for the explanation. That solved the issue.
