I have recently purchased this aircraft to try to learn flying a quality prop aircraft. My previous experience is entirely in flying the B747 and B777. I am finding it difficult to get started using the supplied User Guide because:

The Milviz videos on YouTube are referring to aircraft documentation which differs from the User Guide. The videos suffer from poor audio in parts, and their presentation is not aimed at the novice.

Is the parking brake set when it is pulled out or pushed in?

What is the ELT and where is it?

Where are the oxygen controls and how do I set them?

Where is the landing gear alternate extension handle?

Where is the reversionary switch panel?

What is AHRS?

Where is the pilot's static air source switch?

I am sorry to have so many basic questions before I even start the engines

I feel in great need of a getting started (no pun!) tutorial. Can such a tutorial be ugently made available, please

Pull handles for Oxy are on either side of the center console below the quad levers. One on pilot's side is for the cockpit. The one on the right is for passenger's Oxy

Located on the pilot's side close to the center console. You have to shift your eyepoint forward a bit and look down to activate the pump handle
Where is the reversionary switch panel?
On the center of the panel just below the MFD
What is AHRS?
An attitude and heading reference system ( AHRS) consists of sensors on three axes that provide attitude information for aircraft, including roll, pitch and yaw.

I will try to answer some of these questions:

1. Parking brake is set when handle is pulled out. It's simplified here. In real airplane you need to depress pedals to build the pressure then pull out the handle to close valves on pressure lines. Then parking brake is set.

2. ELT is located on the pilot's side. It needs to be set in the ARM position. When set to ON, it will be transmitting signal on emergency frequency 121.500.

3. Oxygen. There are 5 items here - 2 handles on the center console, oxygen masks over crew heads and oxygen pressure gauge. In normal situation, Left handle needs to be pulled up - then pressure is delivered to the crew's masks. You can check if pressure is available in the masks by slightly rotating the front section. in the model you just click there. Right handle manually activates oxygen flow to the masks in the cabin, so it normally should remain closed.

4. Gear extension handle is located under the left seat.

5. AHRS is Attitude and heading reference system, there are some messages displayed on the screen when systems are initialized, bu all these red boxes should go out after this process completes.

5. Static air source switch in on the right cockpit wall. Check if it is in Normal position (protected with the red tab).

Actually, the Emergency Gear is modeled and operational! It is a bit difficult to access, but by moving your eyepoint forward* a bit and looking straight down, you can "operate" the red handle to pump it several times until you get three green...
* Ctrl-Backspace to shift forward your view
