Unable to select approach/arrival at departure airport

On a flight I recently completed (a very short one), I needed to divert after being unable to land at my planned arrival airport. As I understand it, I should be able to press DEP/ARR and then choose ARR next to my original departure airfield to select an approach. However, even though I can get the FMS to show those approaches, selecting one does nothing. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using the v1.0.6 beta version of the KA350i if that helps.

To get around this, I believe I had to go back and replace the destination airport ICAO with my original departure airport, THEN go into DEP/ARR to select an approach.

Also, is there a pilot's manual or FCOM available somewhere? I know about the one in the SimObjects folder, but that doesn't explain the systems. The systems depth in the Milviz KA350i is quite impressive, but I'm having a very difficult time finding any resources about the systems and how they work. My Googling hasn't come up with anything thus far. I want to "fly by the book" but there is no book!

Google for "Collins FMS3000" and you will find a link to a 600+ page PDF file. Although it's for a Cessna, the majority is the same as the one used in the KA350i.
