AP will not engage NAV
Hi,
Is there some guidance (manual) for the Collins FMS?
I have no problem creating a flight plan manually and can follow the path with HDG but I cannot get the FMC to engage NAV. I am apparently missing a step or setting. I believe the plan is correct and I have updated the database using Navigraph. I assume the data goes in the FMS-3000 folder?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Bob

I found it.
This airplane is a beast to figure out with little documentation. But I'm getting there, the more complicated the better.

Bob can you please explain what it was if you recall? I have the issue where if you are in heading mode say for a vectored takeoff, switch to NAV mode to then go direct to a waypoint and it wont engage the NAV and stays on the HDG mode.

There are documents included with the aircraft, you can also go to the product page on out website and scroll to the bottom. Here you find lots of videos and guides.
If you really want to dig in a user has provided his collection of guides in this thread:

Near the bottom, more than you will ever need.
