How to make the ILS to work

Hi there:
Just wondering what has to be done in the FMS/Avionics to make possible the use of the ILS instead of letting the FMS to command the approach. I've tried to select VOR to ON in the FMS, and preset LOC1 in the PFD but nothing works. I'm surely missing something, because this aircraft is wonderfully modeled.
