Panel illumination issue

Post by frmdes » Mon Feb 10, 2020 2:33 am

Hello guys.
I'am having the following issue. When i load the aircraft, sometimes the master warning and caution does not illuminate. Sometimes they do, but the landing gear lever don`t. Sometimes masters and gear lever do illuminate, but the engine fire buttons doesn't. I always have to load the aircraft several times to get everything working as they should. Already tryied deleting all shaders, with no success. Please verify that bug to be corrected in the final patch, thank you.

Regards,
Felipe.

Press and hold the TEST button to the right of the glareshield annunciator lights. This should illuminate every annunciator in the cockpit.

Are all of the lights working?

The lighting has no connection to shaders at all.

I had the same issue. Also the Prop Sync light is very faint when this happens. It is definately a bug.

When i press the test button, sometimes the caution and warning light illuminates, sometimes they don't. The same thing can happen with the landing gear lever, fire extinguish buttons, or as matpietsch said above, can happen with the "prop sync", "emer freq" and "GND COM" buttons too. It happens randomly, and i have to restart the simulator several times to make all these buttons working as they should. For sure it's a bug, that also happens with flysimware stuffs too (i also have the learjet from them, and happens the same thing sometimes).

I'm flying the king right now, and i attached a screenshot from the "prop sync" button, that is not working very well today. As you can see in the picture, the button is activated, but is showing all black instead showing the green "ON"

Can you check this?

Felipe Mendes.

I'm doing my research to find a solution for this bug, and i think i found one. Here's what i did:

- Opened the simulator, and load A2A c172 in default scenery (maybe another default p3d aircraft can be used instead a2a c172, but i haven't tested)
- Save the flight
- Exit simulator
- Run simulator again, and load the previously saved flight.
- After loading, change the aircraft for the king air, and select your departure scenery as well

After that, i could have all lights working OK (i have tested opening the simulator over 10 times, and all times the lights comes properly)

For everyone with this issue, please make absolutely sure that your "default aircraft" is one of the ones that came with the simulator. For many (most?) advanced custom aircraft a baseline default model's parameters will allow the sim to launch in such a condition by first "reading" those saved parameters.

This does not mean that you actually have to LOAD the default aircraft completely. You can launch your custom add-on aircraft right away. At the very least this will eliminate one potential cause for your lighting issues. :geek:
