HF 2 DA no callouts - only with DH
With the latest version DA does not produce any callouts (minimums and radar altimeter). Only when using DH it works. Both times the setting was armed with the middle push of the button.

Having this issue too. Doing a RNAV approach, i can hear all callouts, setting the DA properly. But when i do a ILS approach, i just hear the 500' callout, and anything else.

I can agree. ILS gave me only the 500ft even when using DH.

Hi,
Altitude callouts are enabled only if RA MIN or BARO MIN data is turned ON. That means selecting one of these modes and rotating the DATA knob to display the desired value, which now will show in cyan. Notice that on power up both modes are OFF by default.
Tomas
PD: These callouts are also inhibited if other EGPWS modes with higher priority are actives (for example GLIDESLOPE).

I do exactly that and it does not work as described be me and other users.
It would be great if you could assume that we do things correct in the first place in order to shorten these discussions. There are bugs, we point them out and are happy to provide additional information. But please stop leaning towards user error all the time.

Hi,
It happens that it WORKS all time for me, that's the reason I prefer to describe how it must be configured to ensure that correct procedure is being followed.
Almost all of these type of menu selections have conditionals that make them perform one way or another. Understanding how all systems work in this aircraft is a complex task even for real pilots. Therefore I cannot consider something is a bug until I ask if all procedures have been properly followed.

Re: HF 2 DA no callouts - only with DH
As said the DA / DH was pressed so it shows up below the VS band as long as the REFS page is open.
On an RNAV approach the DH works (RA callouts and minimums callout) by doing so but on an FMS ILS approach is does not except for the 500ft callout. The approach was well on the ILS and no more than half a dot of vertical deviation.
DA does not work at all with the above procedure.

If you can hear the 500 ft ("smart") callout it means neither RA MIN nor BARO MIN were set.
When setting BARO MIN (DA), legend must display below barometric info, when current altitude is within 2500 feet of the BARO MIN value. Did that happen to you?
Similar for RA MIN (DA), legend will display when Radio Altitude is in view on the display at or below 2500 feet Above Ground Level (AGL).
Being an ILS or RNAV procedure does not make differences on the way Mode 6 works.
Anyway, I just did a small update in the code to make the display conditions of RA and BARO even more similar to real. Will be available for the next HF.

Could you please describe the correct procedure step by step? It seems there is either something missing on my end or I make something a bit different then you think it should be which leads to a bug.

Re: HF 2 DA no callouts - only with DH
Ok, here is the info you asked for.
Altitude Callouts:
Dependency :
- Aircraft current pressure altitude (from active ADC)
- Radio Altitude available - EGPWS power available -
- Aircraft current vertical speed (from active ADC)
- Landing Gear position
For ANY callout to be armed, these conditions must be present:
- Landing Gear Down
- Radio Altitude < 1080 feet
- Vertical Speed < -50 feet
- No other higher priority mode (1 to 5) being active.
- For 500 "smart" callout, BARO MIN and RA MIN must be OFF (see image above)
- For "Mimimums" callout:
- "100" calllout similar to "200".
- "50","40","30" callouts similar to "100" plus vertical speed must be in -1200 to -50 fpm range
- "20","10" callouts similar to "100" plus vertical speed must be in -1000 to -50 fpm range
Hope this helps
