GCS button?

Can someone explain what the GCS button does. I can’t figure this one out as it seems to do nothing noticeable.
GCS button is for "ground clutter suppression" when radar is on and displayed on PFD or MFD if you push the GCS button
it will suppress clutter on ground like mountains, cites, and other ground obstructions that are giving a return,
It will stay on for 30 seconds I think and then default back to normal radar.
Don't think it's modeled yet.
