Need some help, I must be doing something wrong.

I'm getting persistent engine failures during climb after take-off. I very carefully adjust engine torque to 80 - 85%, and prop RPM to 1620-1680. At no time does torque exceed 88%, and or prop RPM 1680. At some during the climb, usually below 10,000 ft, one of the engines will fail. ITT is usually ~775 C, and never exceeds 800 C. Engine oil pressure and temp are always within limits. At times I've had failures at 75% torque and 1600 RPM. The failures are completely without warning.

I have the latest HF 1.06 installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Go to MVAMS and restore engine's health.
You must be out of P3D for that.

PD: Engine health is a 100 hours range. After 100 accumulated hours of engines running, they will fail when power is demanded.
You must always monitor current state of sliders.

I have reset my engine status.. however I keep getting engine failure out of high altitude airport such as KTEX and KSEZ.... but not exceeding engine parameters on PL21. Not sure what is going on but its every take off.

Just a thought, removing engine covers before flight? Ingesting the cover is possible in the sim, I did it once....

Have the same issue from time while treating the engines as they should. Honestly it is super annoying.

From time to time I also get an engine failure shortly after takeoff, sometimes both engines fail, without having tortured them.
Super annoying is the right phrase :-(

Is there ANY way to disable the simulation of engine wear?

@Milviz Team
Please make it possible to recover the engine health status during a Flight, so that I will be able to restart the engine.
This is super important as long as the feature is not 100% reliable.

Make a tutorial video as soon as possible about handling an engine failure in flight and how to land this bird one engine only ;-)

There is none. You must regularly check the engines’ health IN MVAMS. Taking care of engine status is an important part of this simulation.

Cannot tell now, perhaps in the future. But honestly, very unlikely.
And the system IS reliable if engine is handled as it must be. I am constantly running the sim in extreme situations and never got a failure that was not product of mishandling, or in excess of 100 hours.

Hi Tomas,
thanks for your answer.
I am not a real pilot, so I may mistreat the engines without knowing it.
But I follow the starting procedure by the book, never getting an ITT near the red temperature range nor over torque the engine during runup or takeoff.
Starting point is always engines in good health conditions (reset before every P3D start).

What do I wrong?

Are there any critical conditions which expedites the engine wear rapidly which are not indicated on the first sight?

Hi Timo,

You must observe yellow warnings too. They also affect in a minor way the engines' health.

Anyway, you can trace engine status between flight during a week or so. After a flight's session, record the amount of hours in the air (check the gauge) before closing P3D. After that, run MVAMS and check position of STATUS bars, just to detect if relationship between hours and STATUS is reasonable.
Perhaps something is indeed affecting your engines that is not product of normal operations. If you can collect data of that, it will help a lot.
