Kingair save issues?

Post by chevelle505 » Sat Jan 18, 2020 1:04 pm

Just curious,

When I set the addon manager to save with the "current conditions" and save defaults..then restart sim, save flight, then come back later, its not saving anything in the state it was left in and always tops the mains and empty aux tanks, never saves my fuel load...is this just a bug to be addressed in the next patch or am I missing something? Other than that, i must say im absolutely speechless as this airplane is truly a masterpiece so far!!

Also, what allows you to show or hide the pilots (what criteria must be met) because I have master off and parking brake set and select show/hide pilots from the drop down menu and they just flash and still sit there. bug or am I doing something wrong? no mention of it in the manual other than the menu to control it.

Is anyone else having this issue? where every time you load the airplane it doesnt save your fuel load and has master on avionics off, reguardless of what you set in MVAMS options?

It's probably broken.

I am not certain what add-on manager you mean...

For me, in MVAMS it does load the fuel / cargo I set. as well as the aircraft state. Are you clicking the "Save Defaults" button on the lower right?
Also, MVAMS must be run as Administrator for changes to save.

What happens if you save in any other selection? Ready to fly or Cold and Dark vs Parked?

Yes MVAMS. In other words, if i fly and burn fuel..land..save the flight, then come back..it is always resetting my fuel load. How do i just have it save the last fuel load i had on board like every other airplane in a saved flight? I set it up in MVAMS to have it load the current conditions of the airplane...which i left everything cold and dark..but it still starts with avionics off, master on..it will not load the flight as it was when i saved it. So every flight i have to write everything down, then sit there and re enter fuel load etc

MVAMS dictates the situation the sim will start next time. So if you have 1400 # of fuel, Cold and Dark and 3 passengers, that is the way the sim will start next time. It does not change as you finish your flight in the sim. If you want to start with the fuel you ended last time, you have to note that and change MVAMS. Then your next flight will start with that fuel / load. It does not take into account your saved flight / scenario in P3D.

As far as the switches conditions I believe you are correct. I loaded the plane, Started it, then selected "Current Conditions" and saved defaults. Plane was "Ready to start" when I loaded the sim again.

I will ask the devs

I have the same issue that the settings for fuel and load are always overwritten bey the default values. I like the chance to set default settings but they should only be applied for a “new flight” and not when loading a saved flight. The last option in MVAMS is not taking the complete aircraft state as at the time of saving the flight in P3D.
Maybe the developers will change that to a more convenient way to continue flights from the last stop.

Thats exactly what im saying, hopefully they will change this and give an option to make it a true persistant aircraft like a2a! Anyway, thanks for the insight guys!

I'm having the same problem. So 2 months later I have to ask: is this fixed? To me it is the kind of bug that makes me not want to fly the plane anymore. Not when I have to do any flight in one go or I have to cross my fingers and hope that P3D doesn't crash (or some other unforeseen event). Every game has a save functionality!

Glad I’m not the only one. I honestly don’t fly it right now because of this. For an $80 add on its Awfully buggy and Unreliable. Even PMDG has bugs on release, but it’s a little Excessive with this bird. All I can do now is hope and pray they fix this. Seems like all their fixing is with the proline..hopefully focus will shift after the proline issues are Ironed out.

Actually the version I downloaded a few months ago (considered then a beta) is the same I found this week on the website as the final version. So I'm not sure what fixing you're talking about, it seems to me they haven't touched it since november or so.
