AP Disconect and stuck aural warning

Post by meese91 » Tue Jan 14, 2020 12:49 am

Two flights in a row now, on descend with FMS and VS engaged, my AP has disconnected without warning or reason. In both cases the aircraft had been descending along a straight leg, no mode changes or waypoint crossings, no knob twisting or any other manipulation. The AP will not reengage at all in air, toggling FDs and YD and disconenct bar in any thinkable sequence and combination, and the disconnect alarm keeps on blaring. Once on ground, a touch of the AP-button will engage AP in the FMA, and a subsequent click will disengage the AP and continue the already blaring alarm for the normal few seconds then silence.

Any thoughts? Writing this, it comes to mind that I don't think I ever brought up the yoke and hit the DISC button (which by the way, I would love if it could be bound to hardware!). I do have the latest version (checked the hotfix sticky just before writing this, just in case).

On the yoke, press the red button.

Hi,

AP disconnect in middle of flight usually responds to an ADC1/ADC2 mismatch. For example, when Baro setting in PFD left differs from PFD2 and a yellow line is displayed below the Baro value. You can check on PFD left side for ADC caution message. And AP won't reengage until situation is corrected.

For DISC red button operation, you can map TOGGLE_TAIL_HOOK_HANDLE event to any of you joysitck's buttons.

Thanks, that's probably exactly it, both times it happened at a point in the descend where that would be occuring.
