GW calculation at destination airport

Post by metzgergva » Fri Jan 03, 2020 3:48 pm

I did a longer flight of 2+ hrs and observing the waypoints predictions, I saw as one example: Destination KSQL LB 10.2 GW
My flight situation 50 min before arrival was like this:
ZFW 11,400 + Fuel 1,120 lb = GW 12,520 lb
Assuming another 650 lb for remaining flight, I would expect a GW of 11.9 at destination

The actual GW shown on the MFD of 10.2 is even below my ZFW!
Misunderstanding on my side or maybe payload missing in the calculation?

I guess you did enter all values on the PERF INIT page?

Yes I did. But I read somewhere that the fuel may not be entered there, but I saw no problem with it. Maybe the two things are linked?

I certainly think so because the King Air does not provide the fuel data to the FMC as far as I know. So how should it know the fuel? Und with no fuel there is no data about weight. That is my understanding. In the PERF section you can also look up the fuel calculations during the flight. Maybe you could counter check your issue here after entering the fuel. I will also have a look :).

Well in the PERF INI you feed the fuel, but maybe it does not take it...or the Pax and baggage???
I hope the developers will fix what needs to be done.
