How to open fuel for one engine for engine start?

Post by Haseen » Wed Jan 01, 2020 2:16 pm

I use Logitech Pro Flight yoke sytem. I have single throttle, prop and mixture/condition lever. Now if I want to start right or left engine only, where should I keep the condition lever of the joystick? If I put it at cut off and move right cond. lever to lo idle in the sim with mouse, right engine starts. But if I try put the joystick lever to low idle after both engines are started, engines shut down. If I put joystick lever forward, fuel valve is already open. Please suggest how I can handle this.

I would advise to do the whole start sequence with the mouse only. Once completed you can use the hardware controls for the propeller.
For a start I would keep the hardware at low idle before the start and then drag back the levers with the mouse to the cutoff position before beginning the sequence.

You are going to have to observe where the condition lever is when you move your joystick control. Any movement below the Low Idle position on the power quadrant will cause the engine to shutdown.
