Push function not working for me

Hi,

pardon me for probably a stupid question. When I left click the mouse to "push to select" say to sync the heading or to set the baro to standard, it turns the knob instead of "pushing" the button. Hope my explanation is clear. Do I have to press a key (on my keyboard) along with left clicking the mouse or ?

The logic is as follows:
to PUSH these buttons in this plane, you need to push the scrollwheel button on your mouse. (Mouse 3?)

Thanks! My mouse wheel button seems to be flaky though. Does not always work but that's another problem. Is there a way to map this function to a key until I replace my mouse ?

Logitech MX Master, mostly unable to proceed the middle-click with the scrollwheel.
would also prefer - like in most other sim-planes - pushbuttons with regular left or right mouse button.

For knobs with three functions, that is not really feasible. L-Click for counter-clockwise rotation, R-Click for clockwise rotation, C-Click for pushbutton operation.

Well if you design the inner cone a separate part than it can be done and would make life easier.
