Autopilot 2D Panel

In earlier (Beta) versions the Autopilot 2D Panel existed but had no textures or clickspots. Since going to V1.x this panel has disappeared. Will it return at any stage? The reason I ask is that I use TrackIR and it is MUCH easier to change settings on the 2D Panels than in the VC.
