Just got the KA350i Super King Air. Can't map all of the Saitek controls and switches.

Hello...well after having to install -> delete -> reintstall the aeroplane a couple of times (it automatically did a reboot for some reason the first time, kept trying to automatically re-install over and over again at windows startup until I manually deleted the unzipped installation file) I finally got it running -- but I'm still having trouble getting the Saitek switch panel to work with it. I'm using Spad Next for the interface. The landing gear lever won't map to the aircraft landing gear lever nor will the master switch, avionics power switch, etc. I can map the power levers, RPM, yoke, and other axes with no problem. I'm assuming this is a error. Any suggestions?

As far as landing gear I have it mapped to a button on my TM WH throttle and it's working fine via P3D mappings. The others I have not tried yet but I believe a list of what can be mapped and what lvars to hook to will be forthcoming.

The Saitek flap lever apparently works OK. It's hooked up to the lever on the cockpit throttle quadrant. The gear lever on the multipanel doesn't move the cockpit gear lever but it seems to actuate the gear on the aircraft. The trim wheel isn't hooked up to the cockpit trim wheel either.

The mixture/condition lever range is also off. It's only using about 3/4 of the arc of the Saitek quadrant and low idle is at 1/4 on the arc, not zero. Any lower than that will cut off the fuel flow. The power levels are at idle when the throttles are at zero.

You will have to be very patient to insert all the basics even in a dedicated application as Spad.next as I did. The gear, for instance, is moved by using the default “G”, native in FSX and P3D. Simply program a keyboard entry for it with this letter.

The other switches you find in KA350i_something names, most of them LVARS. Initially, i tried toggling with boolean values, but then I tried with SETting values and it worked better, as with landing and taxi lights SET TO 1 (ON) and SET TO 0 (OFF). All of the lights and anti-ice switches can be assigned.

You can even call the GPU, wait for the energy starts to flow, turn on the battery and the avionics to fill the FMS and then ask clearance to start engines, which can be started using the switches on the Saitek Throttle.

The only part I could not assign was most of the autopilot switches, but I’ve heard about a LINDA code already in beta here in the forum. The autopilot switch is also the default “Z”. I sincerely cannot imagine what I would do without this program or LINDA.

Regards
