FMS 3000 bugs

Post by SAS443 » Thu Dec 26, 2019 11:28 pm

Hello :)

Some findings from recent flights.

1) the PROG page seems to be half-complete.
distances and ETA's are not calculated correctly.

2) FIX page is not serving any functionality at all. Insert a fix-entry and page is just blank and no fix is drawn on the MFD.
And FMS 3000 should only store 2 fix pages(?), but I can keep on adding fixes and the page count will keep increasing. Here I have more than 10 FIX pages.

Any effort planned to squash these bugs? :geek:
Take care

Another thing, LEG WIND data input seems to be reverse?
In order to input 250/50 wind at a waypoint, I had to type 50/250 in the scratchpad?

Thanks in advance.

The reversed input is fixed. The FIX page is indeed missing some functionality - there is an item open for it currently. Regarding PROG, let me follow up on this.

Thanks for confirming the issues @Turbofandude :)

While I am at it, I have found more Typos (that's what they are, really)

On the ARRIVAL DATA page, we have this view.

And I assume the RWY ELEV data comes from Navigraph? However, It' is not displayed correctly for ESNQ RWY 21, IRL it is roughly 1430ft, but the FMS shows 2ft only?

I'm not sure if LSK 6R is labeled correct (PERF MENU as you can see), pressing that button takes you to the ARRIVALS page, which is in line with the documentation I have. Maybe you could just label LSK6R to ARRIVAL?...and also shorten "frequency" to just "FREQ"? There are some other minor discrepancies with the rest of the labels. But I'm no developer and can't judge how hard it is to fix them.
Below is the layout from the Collins documentation for the BE350.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for noticing my pesky FMS bugs. I'm afraid I have encountered another one.

On the PERF TRIP page (page 3/3 of FUEL MGMT) I am unable to select a fix on LSK 2L that has multitple geographical locations. I tried Landvetter VOR (LAV) and the database contains three fixes with the same ID on the SELECT WPT-page. But when I try to select the my intended LAV, nothing happens :)

Before I close this post, I will say that I enjoy this King Air immensely. Sure it has some flaws, but they can all be fixed. :)

Thanks!
