Support/Hotfix Status [HOTFIX LINK]

Post by Turbofandude » Tue Dec 24, 2019 2:38 am

Hello folks,

As we are a few days out from release, the reports have come in (as anticipated). We are working on a hotfix for some CTDs and minor inconveniences that will release tonight. We will be addressing some of the other larger concerns (hardware mapping, etc.) in the days after Christmas.

Download the latest installer here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xffnzh5xgdqw6 ... 3.exe?dl=1

We appreciate everyone's feedback and patience as we iron out the initial teething issues. The changelog is below. Enjoy your holiday everyone!

Changes
FMS Changes
-Fixed runway/approach text alignment
-Fixed intermittent CTD when modifying the flight plan
-Fixed a CTD when clicking a previously selected approach while transitions are displayed
-Fixed an issue preventing proper filtering of certain approaches
-Fixed an issue preventing the full name of approach variations from appearing
-Fixed using the same waypoint for entry and exit on an airway stringing the entire airway
-Fixed LLSK1 on MCDU MENU not working
-Fixed LLSK6 on IRS CONTROL not working
-Fixed a bug that could cause issues with FA legs
-Fixed an enroute hold issue
-Fixed inability to enter default transition altitude

Systems Changes
-Removed invalid MV_TAWS gauge entry
-Fixed an EGPWS/TAWS crash
-Fixed excessive EGPWS/TAWS resource usage with certain scenery

PL21 Changes
-Fixed a time display bug
-Fixed a TCAS bug

I have just received an email from Military Visualizations texting the following:

“ Greetings,

Apologies - Some pesky gremlins managed to find their way into our initial KA release. The team have succeeded in eliminating them and have prepared the hotfix (below).

please not that we have not had time to test this, so use at your own risk. Expect another (fully tested) build after Christmas featuring, among other things, new MVAMS options for hardware mapping.”

What is this all about? Gremlins?

Happy holidays. I’ll try now an Old Parr, much safer.

Hi,

Is it safe to install over 1.0? or we need to uninstall first?

if need to uninstall first, what is the best way to do it? no option in add/remove programs and no option in MVAMS either to uninstall.

Thanks!

Check the control panel in programs and features, there is an installer/uninstaller there.
Cheers

Gremlin = bug
Best practice is to uninstall using Windows control panel > programs and features , finding the KA program and then clicking on it and following the prompts.

Thanks.

Decided to give it one more chance and try a flight. I have to report that this update is a massive improvement for me.

Looks amazing, sounds amazing and suddenly for the first time ever for me, rock solid. No crashes this time, Terr/radar works fine. Seems stable and with good frame rates. Have kept TAWs to 25miles as advised.

That's a relief as I really wanted this to be the ultimate B350i, which I think it is.

Thanks for all your hard work

Have a great Christmas

Ray

Icing is in there and I have found it. They did a good job. However, it is very dependent on the weather being injected into the sim. I have been in conditions I swore should have had icing, but P3D and AS refused to play along. You can be at zero and in the wet stuff, but if the weather being injected doesn't include the icing variable then you are not in icing.

You just could skip that variable use the actual temperature etc. to calculate your own icing conditions. All other addons with advanced icing (FSL, majestic Q400 or Maddog) do that.
The benefit is that icing for the engine could be independent from the airframe, which it would be often in real life.
