Re: Panel way to dark
I don't have any missing textures but the instrument panel looks quite dark from pilot's position, as you can see in the image below. But if i switch to a different camera it looks pretty good, it seems like a light is suddenly turned on inside the cockpit.

Re: Panel way to dark
Hello,
By any chance, how did you update to P3D HF2 4.5.13.32097. Client only, client and content ?
According some user feedbacks, it seems important to update the client AND the content at least, otherwise you might run into troubles
regarding the way PBR textures are displayed.
That's what I did and I don't have any issue with PBR addons (MaddogX, Milviz, PMDG....)
Hope this helps
Regards
Georges

Re: Panel way to dark
interesting find @alexandru. Depends now if its the known p3d lighting shader bug or if its really only different in the various cams.
It nearly looks like latter because i dont see a direct light influence on the textures. In both pics the vc is not hit by direct light, still having very different brightness/contrast. Ill try to see if i have the same effect. That would be really interesting (for me at least).
That said, i dont think this is the same problems as the OP has. It looks more as if his textures and maybe even parts of the model dont load on the first flight. Or maybe the shaders take too long to build, no idea. Never saw such behaviour in my simtime yet.

Re: Panel way to dark
Hello,
I recently wanted to move P3D to a SSD, so i uninstalled it completely and downloaded the latest release from the official website. I didn't have to install the hotfix since the downloaded files were already updated to v4.5.13.32097.
I use PTA Tweak though and it uses its own shaders. I tried the default shaders but the colors look washed out and the panel still looks brighter with the rear camera. For all my other planes in P3D the instrument panel looks normal, only the Milviz King Air has this issue.
I attached 2 images with the default P3D shaders:

Re: Panel way to dark
I have been following this thread and have tried all the suggestions with out much luck.
I have never used any 3 party shaders.
Reinstalled a couple of time.
I can use the Overhead floods to light it up so that it's flyable but everything is a nice S... brown
Outside looks great but I did notice that the pilots are visible regardless of the settings in MVAMS or from the Add-ons menu.
I'm throwing that last part in case there is some connection.

Re: Panel way to dark
I have just confirmed what Georges says. On last October I had installed only the P3D Client (32097). After reading the above today, I decided to install the P3D Content module and the K350i cockpit textures are clear again. No more dark textures.c.jurek wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 5:35 pmHello,

Happy New Year to All of You!
… well then, I will try the suggested solution and update the content also, so I fear it a little! They say most of the orbx stuff won't work anymore and for sure some other addons too …
Thanks for the interesting Infos and advices to all of you!

Re: Panel way to dark [resolved]
… back again - and I'm very quick! Deinstalled the old p3d content and installed the new one. Followed some hints on orbx stuff found on the net. And pheew - all went very well. Astonishing! So far as I can tell for now, all addons are working and p3d of course too. And now the best - the kingair's interior looks fantastic as on the outside. Not dark but pretty bright now. Wow - amazing! Many thank's to all the friendly helpers there! And by the way, it seems that my p3d never looked better than before! It's a first impression of course, but I'm very satisfied. Once again, a hearty thank you to all flightsim friends out there!

Content and client normally do not mess stuff up. It’s scenery that can cause havoc.

Installing content also solved the issue for me. The KA was the only airplane that I have that showed this type of issue.
