King Air 350i Build 0.0.40

Post by Turbofandude » Wed Nov 20, 2019 11:18 pm

Folks,

Build 0.0.0.40 is available here: King Air 350i Build 0.0.40. As always, you will need a serial key to install and use the product. Oisín (doodlebug) or I can handle getting your keys. Please message one of us and we'll get you set up.

This build is approaching the final test version. Please test heavily and report items in this thread when issues are found. We expect the next build, or potentially the build after next, to be the final development build. At that point, we will begin asking testers to help us ensure it is ready for release and identify snags that would prevent that.

FAQ
Q: I can't install it without a serial key.
A: Message me or Oisín (doodlebug) for a serial key.

Q: I get SUPER low FPS.
A: Try disabling "transparent surface rendering" in the MVAMS.

Hi,

Thanks for the release. Why were the switches painted in black? Only the fuel side panel switches remained in silver.

Clocks still on without battery.

Looking really nice, guys! But unfortunately, got one of those famous CTD while cycling through the WX/Radar on the PFD. Not sure if I should reinstall the weather radar which is v1.190514.

Thanks,
Mario

Clocks have their own internal battery so they will always have the correct time. The backlight however should turn off when battery is off and both generators off-line. I haven't got it coded for that yet.

FMS still loosing waypoints on arrivals. For instance, I had to fly a hold approaching SKBQ in order to make a tear drop to intercept the ILS. As soon as she entered the hold first waypoint, the hold simply disappeared and the plan was shortened to an abrupt final.

And, about the black switches - after battery on some of the switches become silver and others don't. It seems a kind of contrast effect or shadowing against the illumination provided by the flood lights (which are again on after firing battery from a cold & dark configuration). This is simply a comment on a cosmetic issue which does not interfere in the simulation. I hope the crew is focused in more important issues.

Weird anomaly observed since 00.39: defining in MVAMS default 4 souls x 170 pounds each, cargo=225+150+150, and almost 0 fuel, if you call the gas-truck from FSDT-GSX and choose x% to refuel, the result is all seats occupied each with a pax weighing 150 pounds, no more baggage, and the correct fuel asked. This is just a report and, of course, I’m not asking GSX support here. This is a recent behavior.

Another anomaly observed since 00.38 is the MFD showing blurred lines, always at night. Today I could determine that the blurry is caused by the panel lights turned to the maximum. Just minimize the light and the blurry is gone.

Regards,

Hi

Thanks for the update.

It's really shaping up to be a beautiful bird now and more stable.

Things I noted on two flights;
  • Clock on yoke works even before battery is switched on - unsure if this reflects reality.
    Nosewheel is in correct position now, but is very hard to steer tight turns at the gate without setting nose wheel tiller where (which is very tetchy)
    Most switches are black - texture issue - first time I've seen this.
    Radar/Terrain button ND still causes a CTD (was at FL190 a the time).
    'Direct to' works on the flight plan but after deleting the first few waypoints could not get the plane to actually fly the plan - even though I was on the correct cours
e. This was out of NZQN on the ATAPO2B departure RWY05 - set a 'Direct to' RY but it would not lock on.

Dear friends,

When the aeroplane is on the ground, engines stopped, the switches "GEN1 and GEN2" must be on "OFF", the engine defrosts also, the illumination of the dashboard must be also on "OFF".

Thank you very much for your good job

Couple of other experiences;

1. On landing the nose wheel seems stuck very slightly to the left now. This has been observed on every landing. That is making it difficult to taxi.

2. When entering a flightplan I happened to press on my arrival runway twice by mistake - the second time it froze and CTD. This was in DEP/ARR whilst selecting RWY02 for NZCH arrival.

External power is not connecting- GPU displayed in the external view, batt switch on, batt bus norm, EXT PWR switch on as well... no indication on the caution/warning system that there's a GPU connected. This is from a cold and dark scenario selected through the MVMS
