King Air 350i Build 0.0.36

Post by Turbofandude » Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:16 pm

Folks,

Build 0.0.0.36 is available here: MV_KA350i_v0.0.36_191018. As always, you will need a serial key to install and use the product. Oisín (doodlebug) or I can handle getting your keys. Please message one of us and we'll get you set up.

This build is approaching the final test version. Please test heavily and report items via Mantis when issues are found. We expect the next build, or potentially the build after next, to be the final development build. At that point, we will begin asking testers to help us ensure it is ready for release and identify snags that would prevent that.

FAQ
Q: I can't install it without a serial key.
A: Message me or Oisín (doodlebug) for a serial key.

Q: I get SUPER low FPS.
A: Try disabling "transparent surface rendering" in the MVAMS.

Q: Night lighting isn't working
A: Correct. This build does not have night lighting as we are testing/verifying model/texture related fixes.

Hi guys, are the fonts on the MFD still a WIP? Still getting the overlapping characters in flight information. Just thought I'd let you know in case.

Regards,
Mario

Can you go to Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\MV_King_Air_350i\Fonts and right-click on each font selecting 'install for all users'.
Do you get a notification that they are already installed?

Do we still have to exclude MV_WXM.dll from dll.xml?

Hi

Thanks for this update. Looks beautiful. DISCOs are nicely implemented in the flight plan now. DEP/ARR works great

However, before I can go further with testing I need to get some help;
I still get crashes when pressing buttons on the ND; in this case it was TERR/RADAR. As soon as I pressed it, the sim froze.

I have had similar crashes before just pressing ND/MFD screen buttons. Until that is sorted or whatever I am doing wrong is corrected, I can't really go much further.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Ray

Installing each font from the Aircraft font folder fixed the overlapping fonts issue for me. It didn't ask to overwrite BTW. Thank you

HI again,

Update; although the sim did freeze, it didn't crash this time thankfully, and after a few minutes it came back. Since then so far so good. All is running well.

I still the think the freeze was a bit odd so still worth reporting.

Thanks

Kind regards,

Ray

Yes. What's happening is you're accidentally hitting the "/" key which is P3D key for toggle spoilers. I had that key mapped to a slider on my yoke and when I brushed against it - BINGO an instant and unrecoverable nose dive. If you've got the similar set up I'd suggest clearing that aircraft specific axis in FSUIPC assuming you have a registered version. Hope this helps!

ps Thanks to "John" for helping me with the same problem :)

Hi again,

Still getting a long freeze after pressing terrain/ radar button on the ND. Believe this is definitely a problem which I reproduced several times. Freeze may sometimes resolve but this morning it remained frozen and has happened again.

Appreciate if you could have a look at why this might be happening.

Thanks.

Hello, the aircraft doesn't seem to follow any lateral modes I engage, for now just heading and NAV. I'll check it on an approach mode but this is how it behaves for me, screenshot attached. Thanks.

Wale.

I'm pretty sure the final radar isn't in there yet.

Hi Wale,

Do you have the autopilot engaged? I see yaw damper is on (YD) but if autopilot was on the YD would be replaced with AP.
