Re: About the status of the service pack
Update:
Yesterday's build seems to be the one.
Our testers are posting screenies rather than squawks (which is a good sign).
Fingers crossed that, at last (and thank you for your exemplary patience) release may be imminent.
And by imminent, as history has taught us, I mean asap = don't hold your breath or injure your F5 digit.

But, why dont you release it as it is now? What you have its a lot better than what we have as of today.

Re: About the status of the service pack
it's true - and i asked if I could send it to you if you asked - but it has been decided to wait until the devs and our testers say it's 100%.

Thank you for asking! How long is a typical testing cycle? I assume it varies a lot

Thank you for the update Oisin. It's easier to wait when we know what is going on.

Re: About the status of the service pack
I see.
As a developer myself, i think that a more solid release to the broader, general public can be guaranteed if you expand your testing universe by releasing a SP1-RC1 to anyone who wants to test it, polish the bugs found there and then release a SP1-RC2 etc etc. It gives users choice: Those who want to remain on the stable branch/latest hotfix can do so, while those of us who want to test the latest features at our own risk can do it too. It also gives the dev team more feedback and confidence since the new features/fixes are being tested by more people so surprises can be avoided/minimized when the "SP1 Final" gets released as stable.
It seems that's what you're doing on your side but with a smaller universe of testers. It makes it more likely that unforeseen issues will appear when it gets released to the broader public with more exotic software/hardware configurations.
But, i'm just an user and i understand that i don't make the rules/policy here.
Lets wait then.

I don't think it would be funny
As an update, looks like the systems are working correctly, however there are still some textures that need tweaking.
I'll try to keep you updated as much as possible

And once this one is out....
https://youtu.be/gAFITVZXO1E
The Blackhawk 67 conversion option. I’d pay good money for a Milviz 67 expansion
Anyway back to the present....
Thanks to Milviz for this incredible work, which must go way beyond any reasonable effort and expenditure to have come this far.
It is much appreciated - a real work of art,
Ray
