Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Hi,
Next time it happens, please check two things:
- Fuse next of LGear Lever is pushed (normal position)
- Take note of any warning annunciator (amber light) present and let me know.
Thanks!
Tomas

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Hi Tomas,
After taking a break while flying some other planes , I returned to the KA-350i, to find out, some old gremlins were again raising their ugly heads.
Both condition levers are again stuck in the low idle position. They can only be moved to shutoff with a mouse drag.
I could take off without further problems and could retract the landing gear as every time before.
Then something happened again: The attitude indicator in the PFD froze in an angled position, the backup AI worked just fine, so I used it (see attachment 1).
Then came the great event: gear down!
The gear lever in the virtual cockpit moved to the down position, no green indicator lights and fuse pushed in (see attachment 2).
No amber warning messages in the annunciator.
SNAFU!

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Really weird issues!
Did you reinstall the aircraft before that last test? The CL problem was fixed many versions ago.
Also the frozen attitude is not a modeled failure; something else is happening with your installed version.
I suggest your delete the complete aircraft, install SP1 and start from there.
Besides, please follow this requeriments:
1) First of all, ensure that P3D always starts in Prepard3D Scenario screen.
2)When in within a flight, DO NOT select the KA from the Vehicle Menu. Neither when trying to swith to the KA from another aircraft, nor from being in the KA and trying to reselect it.
3) If you need to change date or time of a flight, do it ALWAYS in Scenario screen, don't do it once the flight is running.
4) if you have been flying with another aircraft (especially piston type) and want to use the KA, please reset P3D first so it will start "clean". Not doing this may cause some engine interferences (not always, but may happen).
5) Beware of using the keyboard Entry mode with the FMS, always turn it off when finished with CDU operations. Also ensure that it is active when you type text on the scratchpad; for example if it is not and you type a G, instead you will operate the Landing Gear.
Hope this helps.

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
Hi Tomas, weird indeed!
I downloaded MV_KA350i_200200524_High today and installed it again (as I did many times before).
The first thing I saw: The condition levers don't move below "low idle".
I had this problem before, then mysteriously out of the blue it fixed itself without any input from me, just to snap now back in it's old bad habit.
Enough, no need for a test flight!
I always start P3D "clean", never switch time or planes inflight and don't use the keyboard entry mode.
As mentioned before, I have a very stable system and can fly all my other planes without any problems.
Under these circumstances I certainly don't want to rebuild everything from scratch.
I hate to put this fantastic plane into cold storage, at least for the time being.
Thanks for your patience and help!

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
I downloaded and installed v1.1.31 about a week ago, same weird behavior.
I am back to v1.1.29, which is stowed away for the time being.
Maybe I try v1.1.32 in the next few days.

Re: Engine Controls not working and some more
If you haven't already tried can I suggest you run the XMLTools Installer in the <\Sim Root>\SimObjects\Airplanes\MV_King_Air_350i\Redistributables folder? It may or may not work but it can certainly do no harm. Running this fixed my controls issues and I see that it has fixed some other issues other people have had.
