KA350i Version 1.1.40 Beta (V4 + V5)

Hi Steve,
I've been flying this aircraft since the 1st version (there go 5 years) and never had this problem. When I turned the avionics on, the radios were synchronized and I did not have to "set" anything apart from switching the frequencies commanded by ATC, and always via the FMC.

I noticed this on the first V40 flight, when I had to switch to the CLR frequency via panel, because the FMC frequency on TUN page was not working. But today, I discovered another thing: After reading your reply, I was flying, and the frequencies on FMC and panel radio were different. I use 2 monitors and all the 2D equipment go to the right monitor and the cockpit stays on the left monitor. When I clicked the upper side of the panel radio, it went back to the cockpit on left (normal movement) and clicked again to bring it back to the right monitor. THEN, the frequencies were synchronized!

Is it not possible currently to monitor com2? I've set the switches, but seems the right parameters are not detected by vPilot.

What happens if you have the 2d on your cockpit monitor are they then in sync? I don't have 2 screens to test this if I use 2d or 3d they are always in sync here on my end.

By playing around with the switches and double checking I was not the jackass, I found out I was the jackass. I didn't know about the Auto Comm or its function, but that evidently enables dual Rx.

A document/web page/User Manual entry detailing little tips and tricks like this one, as well as stuff like keyboard commands and other things you otherwise only can find by searching this forum or by sheer luck, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for posting your resolution. We have a ton of documents on the product page and some videos as well. There is also a guide there for the most common things. Also if you look in the KA 350i general forum another user posted his trove of RL documentation. There is a TON to go through but assuredly everything you could ever want or need to know is in there. We are limited on what we can provide as you are aware of copyright etc.

Forgive my ignorance, but has anyone tried this latest build in P3D v5.1 yet? I’m hesitant to update to 5.1, but if the King Air works I might do it now that Active Sky has been updated.

In p3d4.5xx, and using ASP3D beta 7613, selecting radar is still a ctd; not much installed outside on p3d and add-ons.

The weird thing is this problem only first appeared on my other pc when I signed up for the Active Sky beta upgrade. I thought it would be absent after upgrading to a new pc, but like a ghost from the graveyard, it followed me. I never installed the old version of AS, so WHAT HAPPENED???

Still waiting for a solution since I won't be going to p3d5.1 anytime soon.

Greetings all,
I am running 1.1.40 Beta with V5.1 with true glass disabled. When I load the king air, all of the windows are black. From the external view, there is black flickering on the windscreens. Has anyone seen this?

What WX option are you selecting from the wx radar? Does it CTD immediately after selecting the radar? Do you have an event viewer log?
Can you post your sim1.dll version?
When I updated I updated Client, Content and Scenery... Maybe you only updated client?

I have AS 7613 and my wx radar works fine in the 350i and 4.5

I start the radar by using the selector immediately to the right of the cpts pfd. I may see one radar beam sweep but always followed by an instantaneous ctd. No errors reported by event viewer. The sim1.dll version is 4.5.14.34698, 1.92 mb, modified 4/13/2020.

New pc here (less than a month), so I installed all of p3d's components through the last hot fix.

What I mean with "What WX option are you selecting from the wx radar?" is, Once you click RADAR to the right of the PFD, on the left side of the PFD you get several options. Are you selecting the top WX option or any other? Also, on the right side of the PFD, are you selecting wx radar also or just Terrain?

Are you running your sim as Admin?

Just to be clear... is a 3 step process...
1. click Radar
2. Select wx mode
3. Activate radar
