I find cockpit textures too dark and My Gawd. 6.2 VRAM usage..not good. I have no problem with any other aircraft.

It certainly seems like VRAM is going to be our point of contention. Re: the flickering, try limiting your sim frame frame rate (even if it's limited well above what you're getting, it seems to help).
We'll continue looking into ways to address VRAM.

I have no problem think i managed to tune my system on a proper way, both the P3D settings and the hardware as you know its easy to trigger the device hung with inproper tuned hardware to.Turbofandude wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 11:34 amIt certainly seems like VRAM is going to be our point of contention. The TFDI 717 and KA350i is on the same vram usage, would be nice to have them down 2gb and be in pair with the other P3D V5 addons.
keep up the good work and thanks for the V5 beta

Thanks for this.
Besides the extreme VRAM usage everything else looks good.
Cheers.

Hello,
For me, the MV_KA350i_v1.1.31_20200630_V5 does not work.

Same for me - RTX 2080. I was at DD's EPLB and got the second engines firing when it hung.

VRAM is immediately exceeded on initial loading. Not usable right now.

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.31 Beta for Prepar3D v5
I was having issues loading the 350i at all inside P3D v5(hf2). Loading into KRLL or YSSY would cause the Simulator to generate error messages about "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" & "dedicated graphics memory has run out" this is even with my GTX1080. This behavior is extremely similar to the 717's from TFDi. From what can be observed TrueGlass appears to be the major VRAM sink inside V5.
Disabling TrueGlass gives the simulator back 25-40% of your VRAM. This can be done by disabling "Render to transparent surfaces" inside MVAMS (this may not work if you already had the King Air installed in V4). You can also do this manually by going to "Prepar3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\MV_King_Air_350i\Panel" and renaming the "Panel.cfg" to "Panel.backup.cfg" and renaming the "Panel.NoTransparent.cfg" to "Panel.cfg".
Doing this has improved VRAM usage drastically without major drawbacks. -- You won't have rain effects on the glass --
Orbx Cairns - 6.4 to 5.0
FlyTampa Sydney - 7.1 (Ran out of memory & crashed) to 6.3
Orbx (LM) Randolph - 7.1 (Ran out of memory & crashed) to 5.9

Beautiful cockpit was at v4.5
We would have such a v5 instead of a black hole

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.31 Beta for Prepar3D v5
Indeed very high vram use, started in KRDU at 5.8 and by the time i started the systems was sitting at 6.6, I'm using modest settings as i use with the 717 for saving vram. I did have to disable trueglass, and like others sais the panel is too dark. is like light doesnt work on it as turning all lights has no effect.
There is also a lot of flickering. I have the framerate limited to 40fps with the NVidia control panel and unlimited with vsync on within the sim.

Re: KA350i Version 1.1.31 Beta for Prepar3D v5
Hi
Further report.
Good news:
- No longer having sound problems (it was my audio interface plugged into the wrong USB slot).
- Luckily no CTDs very good perfomance and flawless flight.
- VNAV path and FLC working really well.
Some observations':
- Nosewheel is still stuck stuck full left on gear down for landing - cosmetic only as doesn't affect taxi though. This doesn't happen when loading and before take off.
- Flight plan 90deg turn on short final - the plane massively overshot the final turn at 1600'- even though I was flying very slowly at approach speed fully configured for landing.
- 7.5Gb VRAM over the sea (OK with ultra EA enabledf) 6.2Gb without EA.

You forgot to write about the cockpit. Isn't it dark for you?
