Re: Can't follow flightplan using NAV mode/FMS source
Because NAV mode uses aileron inputs to minimize Crosstrack error on current leg (XTK)
It is a custom AP, some functions are independent of P3D defaults.
Anyway, glad that it worked for you.

I have asked Brunner about a possible solution to make it fully compatible with our simulation but they are closed for the holidays till Jan 5. Will see what comes up then.

Sorted. Spoke to Brunner and gave them the solution and they will be trying it out after the 27th.

Great news, I appreciate that the Brunner yokes are a bit of a niche piece of hardware so I really appreciate your efforts to sort this out with them.
So if the fix works on their end, will that be something they send out or would it come in a future service pack from Milviz?

It’s on their side. I described how to send the desired events without overwriting our AP

Re: Can't follow flightplan using NAV mode/FMS source
Hello,
Thank you Regis9 for posting this. I have the same problem and just tried a flight configuring CLS2Sim to "Emulate USB HID joystick". It worked nice.
I tested the DA62 too and finally got it to follow the flight plan. I need to test with a couple of models but I'm quite sure that you gave me the right input!
Obviously I've just created a ticket on Brunner's Helpdesk.

Just read the thread. I'm in the same boat. I also own a cls yoke including their rudder pedals. But i didn't fly the king air yet, since my external throttle quadrant is not working. Waiting for the hotfix/service pack. I would appreciate any updates regarding the brunner controls.

Curious if there was ever any words back from Brunner on how their testing went?

I imagine they will release an update when that happens.

Re: Can't follow flightplan using NAV mode/FMS source
As a brief update, I emailed Brunner asking about this and posted on their forum and have not received a response (which is odd, they’re usually very responsive).
As a workaround for anyone with a Brunner yoke, last night I completed a flight by going into the Brunner software and disconnecting the yoke from the sim once I had the autopilot on. Doing that it followed NAV just fine. Not the best workaround, but something until Brunner issues a fix.

Re: Can't follow flightplan using NAV mode/FMS source
A few month later... using CLS2Sim v4.27.6 (that is last version) I'm still obliged to use it as a (stupid low cost) "USB HID joystick" because
Brunner software is not updated.
Am I missing something? Did one of you have a nice solution? Thank You.
