i7 8700K GTX1070 Ti Inland 1TB Nvme SSD P3D 4.5 HF2 WINDOWS 10 KA350I 1.8 (with 1.2 light beta)

VRAM usage is down with the new beta for Reallight, but I am getting incredibly inconsistent performance with this airplane as opposed to others. FPS varies jumps between 15 and 55 fps with avionics on and 30/60 with avionics off but still very stuttery in all weather conditions which suggests to me something is not optimized or it doesn't like some module (otherwise I would just get consistently low fps, no?).

Also, with all versions, when I click Fly Now, my screen turns white for a good 20-30 seconds (like the program has become unresponsive). I have to click "wait for the program to respond". Eventually it loads. Any idea what module could be causing this? Perhaps this is related.

I have tried:

* Clean install of KA350i and MVAMS
* Reverting to stock shaders/fresh P3D.cfg
* Both versions of Reallight (Beta and stable)
* Lowering cloud textures to 256x256 resolution
* Render to transparent surfaces on/off
* Installing previous versions all the way back to 1.6
* Updated Navigraph data

Any ideas?

Edit: the white screen at the beginning of load was caused by Dolby Atmos. Uninstalled, no more white screen, but plane is still incredibly stuttery.

Hello all - hoping someone can shed some light on this problem that's been driving me crazy! Upon loading the KA 350, whether I assign the throttle axis via FSUIPC or none at all, the throttles load at 64 thrust (so just above idle - see screen capture). So I cannot configure the axis via MVAMS because the lowest it recognizes is 64,

How can I get the levers to load at a lower thrust level? Even if I use my mouse to move the levers down, the moment I jiggle my thrust lever on the Saitek, it'll jump to 64.

Any ideas?
For FSUIPC users:

[Axes.KingAir350i]

3=0Y,256,F,66421,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: AXIS_PROPELLER1_SET }-
4=0Z,256,F,66424,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: AXIS_PROPELLER2_SET }-

5=1X,256,F,66422,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: AXIS_MIXTURE1_SET }-
6=1Y,256,F,66425,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: AXIS_MIXTURE2_SET }-

10=6U,256,F,66420,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: AXIS_THROTTLE1_SET }-
11=6V,256,F,66423,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: AXIS_THROTTLE2_SET }-

do not calibrate these levers and check the "Enable hardware mapping" box in MVAMS control section.

No CTD this time had a trip over 1 1/2 ours
Still a little hungry for ram
With tesselation on full i wonder why the massive use of prossesor looks like all is routet that way now and not via grapic card as normal

Thanks Jean,

that solved it for me after a reinstallation of the B350i. Could not get rid of a former calibration trial.

I've been away for a while, waiting for the SP1 release, and now I see there's is a version v1.1.8. Is that a SP1 beta version for further testing or what exactly?.
Cheers, Ed

1.1.8 is a newer version than the original SP1 release. There have been a few releases since SP1 to fix additonal bugs and performance issues.

I am happy to have rendered you this service.
The KA350i is a fabulous simulation, and it would be regrettable not to be able to use it fully

The KA 350i is very very nice.
spend a week , fly it in differnt conditions

i normally fly 150-350nm flights but today i have time to a long one
did a flight from Pula to Kiruna ( LDPL-ESNQ) 1400nm it tock 5hours 27min , low on fuel only 35min left

my obsevations : Vram 8gb used with my settings the STD raptor use 5.3gb ( mesured with GPUZ).
ram use 10gb have 32gb no problem
no stutters runs very smooth I run 4K res , i cant see any trace of a memory leak ( steady vram use is no mem leak)

it fly RNP thats what a have wait for , thanks
hope with some tweaks from developers the sluggish handling and overshoting even with speeds less then 150knots.

This bird is Top notch one of the best out here .

Thanks

I bought it years ago, when it was first offered. The first version I flew had almost no systems, but just flying it by hand on approach declared its potential. Then came the announcement that FSX was not in the cards. I didn't ask for any partial refund, but I didn't expect to fly P3D, because an unnamed sim had drawn me away. Finally, with the SP1 announcement curiosity got the better of me and I bought P3D for a trial run. Now I remember what I was so encouraged about all of those years ago with the alpha that I first flew. I've always loved King Airs! Long live the King!

The plane is super! Almost perfect now SP1 - 1.1.9. What is missing is the installer for P3D v5 :roll:

Title say it is the April 27 update but name of patch is still showing 1.1.8 as before.
Can someone confirm it is now version 1.1.9 and that the title has only be partially updated ?

At least file name and file size is different. Seems to be a new compile. Waiting for an official statement ...
