Hi Tomas & all,
after selecting VNAV in MFD menu the display now works fine.
However I cannot follow the discussion around ADVISORY VNAV. What am I supposed to see if its enabled on PERF page?

Hi Stefan,
When Advisory VNAV is enabled and VNAV not engaged, in the PFD you'll see VNAV Vertical Scale and Pointer helpers in almost same conditions as when VNAV is engaged. However, aircraft won't honor altitude constraints, ie it won't level off at those restrictrions. Besides, descent following a calculated path (VPATH) won't be available, so pilot must use other AP descent modes (PTCH/VS,etc) during the approach.
