Gen Ties Man Close Lights Up Panel
Hi,
quick question:
- Load up aircraft in "Cold and Dark"
- Batteries - On
- Gen Ties - Man Close
Batteries On turn on the flood lights. Gen Ties Man Close increase flood lights and turns on panel background lights.
How is this possible, considering that generators produce no additional energy since engines are off?
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: Gen Ties Man Close Lights Up Panel
Hi,
With no engines running or GPU connected, Instrument Indirect Lights (panel blue floods) are powered by the battery through the Triple Fed Bus.
When you close the GEN TIES, you are connecting both Gen buses to receive battery power as well, therefore rest of cockpit lights that are tied to each Gen bus will come alive if they are switched on.
